The idea sounds pretty cool, although weekly is quite often. Based off of the success of the discord ghosting and track making challenges, indefinitely ending weekly challenges haven’t worked too well. Although it is to say that Coated_Badger is hosting, which significantly heightens the success chances. Will see how it plays out

there's a tag for coager chronicles at the top of the thread. clicking on it will bring you to the other threads with the same tag. which is the coager chronicles.

weekly was discussed to give the most amount of rest and preparation in-between each match. any longer makes the Ranking system work to slowly and ghosters won't get as many points in the season. though i can see what you mean about people losing interest. hopefully people just join and race because they want to.

so this'll start either the first or second Saturday after the FRWC5 finishes at (if I had to decide on a time rn) 12:00 pm AET. that way most people from other timezones will have the entire weekend plus the end of their Friday's to ghost the track and then rest up during the week.

yeah so it's basically a ranked competitive game mode in free rider to provide a more accurate and updated leaderboard than the top 100 ghosters with active players.
though it'll only be as competitive as ghosters make it. if you just want to play a few matches and see whereabouts you rank that's fine as well. it's open to everyone, not just ghosters.

 

Will it cause any problems if I join and don’t do anything for like a week or two?

 

Not at all. If you've stated you're going to do ranked matches you'll be placed into a match regardless of whether you compete or not. If you choose not to ghost it'll count as a loss and you'll lose points. If you choose to not play ranked for an even longer time you may have to prepare to grind back up the ranks depending on whether we change the scoring system or not.

 

In if I am not banned which I probably am. If you would like I can ghost all tracks with a hand cam if that is the only way. Also, at least talk with Madara, Totoca12, and Eryp about the matter because I would really like to be a part of this.
