Well, it came off a bit personal, but you must not know exactly how things work here, so I'll try to explain. None of the current active moderators for the game actually work for Kano Apps (creator of FRHD). The official ORG team right now consists in 3 people:
Madara,
Eryp and I. Eryp and I are Administrators for the forums and moderators for the game and Madara is a Ghost Moderator for the forums. So we do have a lot of things to do in the game, such as handling the Official Featured Ghosts, the FRHD Top 100 List (and the specific lists), the monthly Ghosting Awards, plus the ORG and many moderating duties (handling reports, bans, warnings and much more). Also, Madara and I also hosted our own ghosting contests this year, so we put a lot of time and effort on this game during this year.
But as I said, we don't work for Kano, so we do all of that voluteerly on our free time. The thing is that we are all over 18 and have things to do in our life. For example, I'm in college, I have a job, I'm having classes to get my driver license and I do have a life, lol. Same for Eryp and Madara, that are also busy with similar things and also their own personal stuff, so we are doing the best we can.
We like to do the ORG and stuff in the forums, but that's not our job, and real life always comes first, so we can't get everything on time all the time.
The ORG is a major effort to do every week with making the matchups, calculating scores, updating the archive, sending alerts and banners, picking a track, thinking about bonus rounds ideas, tagging people in the track, taking a screenshot of the times at the deadline, keeping track of challenges and breaks and updating the spreadsheet (which usually takes forever to do), so I would ask for some patience.
This is probably the most ambitious contest in terms of duration, scope and number of active players that was ever made in this game (at least for a ghosting contest), so it's tough to manage, but we are 25 weeks in and things are going good so far we try to always get stuff done on time, but it's not always possible. I hope this post makes it clear why.
