to add to your statement: some people may think that this does not give you an advantage nor do they think it is cheating, to which I say you are entitled to your own opinion. But it's not an in-game setting, it's a 3rd party client that modifies your game in real-time

 

UPDATE:
1st and 2nd posts have been reborn!
- 1st post now shows all the rules and information shared in this thread and information that has been made up on the spot since I started the thread.
- The 2nd post has been successfully been transformed into a shi.tty list of ranks which, I'm not gonna lie, really makes me feel like people will not want to join because it looks so bad. But it'll show what rank everyone is in and how many points they have.
- When someone ranks up they'll be moved into that rank. The rank number is for the overall placement, not for what they're ranked in their Rank
- When the track's released the thread title will be updated to say "(started)" on the end. if it's not there I was either too lazy, forgot, or something happened that stopped me from starting the contest.
- Matches are being made right now by Madara. How he goes about "randomizing" it will be up to him this week.
- Half of the players will move up to SILVER this week.
- Over time I'll be adding more stats to the 2nd post. Things like Win/Loss ratio, points gained from last 5 matches, etc.
- Anyone joining from now will get 200 less starting points which is equivalent to 4 weeks worth of wins.

Just to clarify, Ranked will go on hiatus during the time other ghosting contests are going on. But during those other ghosting contests you can still earn points by participating and doing well in those contests. Though Ranked was technically on hiatus while waiting for the FRWC5 to end, points will NOT be given out to the participants of that contest due to people not knowing about being able to earn points in external contests. As extra rewards provides extra incentive to do well. If I would have come to the conclusion to give points to external contestants, I would have, but that didn't happen so sorry to anyone that wanted a head start. Good luck next year if this thread survives that long.

you can, you will just start with 800 points instead of 1000, since the deadline for full point joining has passed.
