Eric Char I don't know if you guys work with mobile much, but it sucks that tracks above 200k size won't load. Is it possible to make tracks take up less RAM? (don't know if I used the right term)
When you said this it seemed to make sense. But then I turned on adblock (which I never do for Free Rider) and opposed to the usual 3-5 ads blocked, it said 70. 70!!! My game seems slowed down quite a bit too. If the intention was to help the game run smoother, then it's not working
Do you guys have any plans to make a Universal Windows 10 app or maybe port the iOS app to W10 Mobile with the iOS bridge? Playing the game on a mobile browser is just too inadequate and frustrating for me.
I understand that there will be less ads shown, however I have a few problems with the pre-roll ads. Even if you skip the ad after 4-5 seconds, you could spend longer watching the advert than playing the track if the track is really short - I really dislike this idea. This is mainly a problem when I play random tracks. Also, when using the random track generator, I often get tracks that I have already completed, but I only know this once I have skipped through the ad. This is even more irritating than the 1st problem, as I means that I have just skipped through 4-5 seconds of an ad and played 0 seconds of the track, as I immediately see that I have finished the track. I understand that it is the adverts that makes Free Rider most of its money, but the pre-roll ads just annoy me (and therefore the ad is useless, as I pay no attention to it). I personally preferred the old advert system.
1. Don't play shitty tracks and you wont have the time problem 2. You can have a look at the leader board to see if you have completed the track (as it will show you your previous time) thus saving you from watching the video, and thus being able to move on
From now on I will just look at the leaderboard, but how can I know how good/bad (paraphrasing you there) a track is when I just click random track?
My recommendation is to not play random tracks, rather use the shuffle tracks button and choose the thumbnail w/ the highest time and best looking detail http://www.freeriderhd.com/shuffled
Hey Char , what features are going to end up in the app? I personally hope that we'll be able to download tracks, for offline mode.
