Yeah, originally it was the plan to make it small and blank, but the way i did my detail i had to make it big, otherwise it would look weird. Heres what it looks like in the bg, if it helps:

Also any tips to make it look more like the paddles were floating away from the boat would be great :D

Any tips on how to do simple rock detail? Preferably in grey?

If I were to go for a realistic look, I would darken the hell of the bottom, and lighten the top to where there are no lines defining the shape. Although, I would still induvidualize each crater by some shading.
But if you were going for a more solid cartoony approach, I would not worry about making it a perfect circle. And I would also very slight add half circles (more or less) to show some craters.

    nasrani hella

Aye son, that's why I just shape and not shade.

I don't see why you would shade a moon like that? What you can see of a moon is all the same brightness right, and even if it wasn't a full moon the shadowed parts should blend in with the sky. I mean correct me if I'm being stupid.

You don't have to draw it in realistic proportions, if you wanted to you could make it huge, and I think that would look awesome. I would make you craters much bigger and varying in size, you should should probably keep the craters just an outline though to go with your light style.

Joelbmx I would personally shade the bottom and lighten the top because that basically what my whole track structure will look like. If I were to detail the moon the same way, it would flow together with the rest of my track without error. That's just a technique I would use to compliment the track as a whole.

Nice tree breh. The black is really too thick, but it contrasts nicely with the grey.
I really could use some CC on these rocks. It's strong black detail, which I'm not really familiar with. I don't know what to think

Looks sick, except for the bottom left and the bottom middle of the rock, it seems too round and plain compared to the rest of the rock :)

nasrani It seems like you have a nice judgement on where the shading should go. Otherwise, there's not much to critique except that I've seen you shape out rocks better than that before. Also, it looks a little undefined over by the falling rocks, but if you added grey, I feel like it would all flow together smoothly. Good work though!

Well I think you need way more definition in the rock. Right now it's just some horizontal lines going across it. Maybe try imitating some rocks from good track creators

What do u mean by more definition? Do u mean more horizontal lines or what?
