    Like I said in another topic, I don't have the inertia of a corporation such as Kano and I don't have a whole heavy website to maintain. On the other hand the updates will depend a lot of my free time and my motivation, whereas the dev' from Kano have to be a lot more disciplined in their craft~~

    Hell yeah dude I've been waiting for this day, so glad you're interested in creating something like this, since BHR is phasing out RN. We gonna get a nice database going or is it all just codes rn?

    also inb4 big boy kano comes in and ruins this for us, maybe we should've kept it underground

    For now this is just about updating canvas rider editor, and I'm not sure I'll have the time nor the motivation to put up a whole website with a database. Let's say this won't come from me.

    Two things :
    • this version of the game is largely deobfuscated
    • it doesn't come with the restriction of Kano and CR "use the editor only on our website" (mine is easy to copy or embed)
    If we want a viable alternative to FRHD, it should come as something open-source & decentralised. Canvas rider editor was easily shut down, but the editor of the original FR2 is still widespread and it would be hard as hell for Kano to shut down such a thing.
    Let's make it clear : I don't want to destroy/replace FRHD, and I'm very happy about the fact that some people manage to live from free rider. I'm just not ok with the shut down of canvas rider editor, the underground aspect of BHR, and the design philosophy for FRHD. An alternative SHOULD exist.
    If someone wants to create a database for this version it should be very easy for them, and if Kano manages to close the database, a new one could emerge somewhere else.

    Btw it's 2 AM in France. I now have in mind a fairly good implementation for the teleporters (basically the 2sd alternative I thought of). I'll program it tomorrow on the afternoon.

    Yo man, can you make the anti-gravity circle he same color as the gravity arrows? I think that would make sense.

    And congratulations, you've made more updates in under a week than Kano has in like three years.

    Also, can you make it so the thing doesn't give me a seizure every time I go to draw a line?

    And I think there was an actual offline version of the CR editor floating around somewhere.

    After some toying around it seems that I was wrong thinking about the second alternative:a setup as simple as this one presents all the disadvantages of the third option I already rejected. It's all shakky and buggy, infinitely going back and forth... Not fun.

    That's not my priority but I will definitely tweak the colors I've choosen so far.

    I was just toying around, this will be back to red on next version.

    Tomiy showed me last year a draft of what was supposed to be a sequel to BHR, but the thing was largely abandoned and wasn't decentralised nor open-source + I was very busy back then. Tomiy also expressed how he doubted about the design choices that were made for that version (I'm not quiet sure, but I think there were "events" you could trigger in the game).
    At that time my version of the game wasn't really deobfuscated (even tho the nodie-thing was already implemented), and even though I shared it on this forum, I don't think it was at an appropriate time.

    Now I have a much more clear idea of what I want for the game (as already developped on my previous posts), so I just have to keep myself motivated

    Ah, I see.
    Can you also make it so several scenery lines on top of each other don't appear darker? I know it used to be like this back in FR2 but it seems to me that this version is supposed to look more like CR.

    That is the next thing on my list just after the teleporters, I was again just toying around and this decision wasn't really serious. It will be fast to change it. Tbh I'm thinking of an option were you can choose between regular grey lines (like CR, that would be the display by default), transparent lines (like right now) and black lines (like line rider, it's harder to play but I find it fun and not a huge issue as long as it is an option).

    What's going on is that the rider teleports to a teleporter and grabs another immediately.
    If you place them too close to each other they do that.
