lol me too. the problem is that the mods are giving oa to everybody who ask them cos they're tired of having thousands of noobs who ask them every day and then you pratically just have to ask a mod to oa and pouf ! you're an official author. we have to review how to give oa cos it became way too much a popular status.
I think we should add another rank or at least review OA requests. I think OA is a great thing to strive for but now I don't think it as highly as I did when I didn't have OA. Adding a rank will give OAs more to strive more and then history hopefully won't repeat itself. Therefore, we should add another more exclusive rank like the mods asked the OAs a long time ago
i was thinking of a team who elects them, constitued of old players experienced. yeah that would be pretty cool.
I like the idea of a higher tier of track makers. I endeavoured to become OA when I was a noob, and once I realised "not so good" track makers with pretty craps tracks end up becoming OA aswell. Perhaps a higher rank can be based on the amount of subscribers, or how many likes you have on the leader board. If terrible track authors gain OA, then I would consider it not such an achievement. And another cool feature could be as you progress and improve as an author, rewards such as coins or gear could be given to the players who have been promoted to a higher rank. Very talented authors look not "bad", but don't look as good as nubs also get OA for no reason.] For once, deserving authors can get into the calibre of high ranks.
i agree pretty much but please we dont need to care about subs and likes for a high rank that would totally dumb considering how prl or many others gets 1000 subs easily or how they become pretty quick fourth on the author leaderboard based on likes.
Wow your right, idiots like PRL turn up with awful hold ups and clickbaits, but as you know, at this day and time, noobs would be so darn foolish to fall for dumb trends such as a "hoverboard". Instead it could be decided on the moderators, to see if they think that a particular author is worthy of being given a higher rank. Or the quality of the track. InTheSavce I'm just sick of seeing great authors undermined by basic tracks. The good authors put all their hard work into it, and for what? Getting outshone by 1.2k likes from a stupid trend?
