What do you think of Trump's Presidency so far?

Hey everyone, I'm comfortable leaving this thread open to further responses as long as we all stay respectful, even when we disagree. While I might not agree with what a lot of you are saying I think it's great to see youth and young adults engaged in politics and healthy debate.

As a heads up though, if this does get out of hand or disrespectful we'll close it up. Thanks for your cooperation everyone!

 

Eryp has the most amount of time ever to reply, holy crap. The one time I've ever sat down to write that much stuff to counter someone I spent like three hours, I can't imagine what that dude's day's been like today, sheesh.

Anyway, it seems to me glancing at the first 7 or so words of these arguments like we've gone to corrupt media. What do y'all think about the proposed budget for next year?

Yeah damn Eryp you're going crazy there with words haha, I spent an hour on mine and you still beat me easily with not only one but two.

As far as the budget I am not sure yet haven't really been paying close attention to issues like that lately, likely it adds more money to the military budget and less to other less important stuff. Not sure yet though but I'll have to look it up if an argument starts over it.

 

One thing that I must say...
What ever happened to Trump's "America first" foreign policy? I understand the Syrian missile thing because we made a line for them not to cross and they did, so we should punish them. However, then there was the MOAB in Afghanistan that really came out of nowhere. Also, this whole North Korean thing. What's up with that? I know Kim is crazy but have they really ever done anything to us? They are all bark and no bite so why should we care about them for the time being. We moved an aircraft carrier and some other stuff over near North Korea about a month ago. Mr. Trump (President, I guess it is), what ever happened to "America first." Really the only thing you have done HERE so far is ban people from certain countries (mostly countries that have never had terrorist affiliations) and do some not so big things about healthcare.

I'm not going to say which way I lean on the political spectrum or anything, but our Administration's foreign policy is one thing that hasn't been followed very much as of yet.

If the North are allowed to do whatever they want without any repercussions, things will spiral out of control, which is presumably why Trump has been making tough calls on the North. Also, saying that the North is all bark and no bite NOW is fine, however, given enough time with no sanctions or no retaliation, the North will eventually have the means to send nukes to all parts of our planet (From memory, military strategists and experts estimated that the North would have the nuclear capabilities to strike the US between 2020 and 2024). Im unsure about you, but I would rather stop them now before they have the capabilities to destroy sections of our planet at will.
As well as this, the US already have a very weak hold on the Asia-Pacific region, courtesy of China, and giving the North more power would mean that in the future the US would have no hope of gaining any hold over the Asia-Pacific. And where Japan and the South are the US's closest allies in that region, and both are threatened by the North, I think Trump is quite justified in making the calls that he has.

Also being in Australia means that we could be hit before the US by any nuclear weapons that the North may create, so Im personally quite glad he has been doing what he's been doing with the North lol

I was hoping so too, but sadly it seems Devos knows nothing about it and doesn't care anyways.

I just hope he continues to fund space exploration, protects net neutrality, acknowledges climate change, and replaces obamacare with something that actually covers people - and is affordable - because imma be real eith ya g that sht wasnt.

 

obama care needs to be replaced fast i agree just takes money from the middle class aka the working class americans and gives it to the poor, i got no prob with helping poor people but not by taking money from working class peeps

I think he looks like a dumpling, and the fact that the travel ban was not put in place has weakened him. However, he is living up to his promises and if he doesn't build the wall he will be impaled by people who voted for him and the Mexicans.(sorry for my bad political knowledge, I live in the U.K.)

 

Long sorry short- we have a living cheeto as our president. He even acts like a living cheeto too. Hurray.
