You act like Kano is the victim here. hahaha.
You realize if they would have been more patient and actually finished their game before shutting down CR, this place would be 10x as popular. They got what was coming to them. It's a bummer.

and Cataclysm yes I agree about the whole youtube thing. Even in the trackmill days, I was saying that the whole site should be laid out more like youtube.

Yeah the only site who pays people based on their views is youtube. This is really due to the fact that they're both google. They can actually measure all of the metrics on how much each ad made on which page etc. We couldn't do that without a very very complicated system.

The site isn't dying. The site is growing, but at this time in the year it tends to decline due to summer. We see this trend with all of our games etc.

Stig is right in saying that time is money. We can add more to this game, but there needs to obviously be a benefit to kano. I would like everything to be much more polished.

Really dribble is doing it the way that I feel it should be done.

I have rewritten the core game for mobile, and hopefully it will get incorporated back into the web version. The performance is a lot better.

I think that the homepage should be completely different. I think it should be more like Canvas Rider's was, with a description of the game and spotlights on great tracks.
The reason I want that style of homepage isn't just because I miss CR, but because it makes the site feel more official to me. Right now, it's basically just a bunch of tracks. I don't think that that is the best approach to the homepage.
If I were new to the game and I went to the current homepage, I would be kind of intimidated and confused.

Perhaps this site could get a visual revamp, more like CR.

Site design of CR is pretty freakin badass:thumbsup: and its site design markets itself as both a game AND an artistic platform; appeases to youth(game) and older people(artistic platform). FRHD doesn't really do that, it's too game oriented. If you're older, you play this game with a stigma because it looks so childish. CR, because of the way the site presents itself removes much of this particular and that's pretty important in a society that attaches gender and age to inanimate things and ideas. I feel like the site design is just limiting FRHD's potential popularity. The perception of gaming(especially computer games) is childish but creating artwork and designing stuff, no matter what it is, will always be ageless. Why not have FR appeal to both younger and older age groups?

Also, using other sites as examples, dribble looks inviting/friendly and still retains seriousness, so does CR. FR lacks this serious bit but it could just make some quick adjustments. FR could drop the rounded and blocky font that would be the product of writing with a colouring marker and opt to have it all replaced with hard, sharp letters made with a pen. It could additionally implement more of the user created works as BG for the site, it could have a banner contest for the site's banner<<<

Of course this might be more small of an issue, but perhaps later on as this games shapes up things like this could be dealt with.
e;just realized this was really off topic.
