Transferring tracks from canvasrider.

    Same thing goes with game elements. Checkpoints are commonly used, therefore it isn't really a rip-off. You don't see people complaining that BF4 ripped off COD Ghosts because they both allow you to respawn.

    It's more accurate to say I've seen people complain that the MoH reboot is a CoD ripoff, because it uses most of the same game elements. If they only shared "shooting" as the same game element, they'd be very different games.

    The issue was FR2 actionscript code was decompiled and ported 1:1 to javascript without permission to do so, majority of work was still from FR2 (greater than 90%). The big mistake was making an assumption instead of working with the people that have the rights to the game like we are doing with FRHD.

    I wouldn't feel to sorry for Maxime, he has profited from Free Rider and continues to do so as Canvas Rider is still producing revenue from ads on the site. He knows he was in the wrong and it is much better than what he is liable for.

    We plan to take FRHD to several levels beyond where Free Rider has been, supporting play on any device and multiplayer asynchronous racing already takes it up a couple levels in my opinion but mine doesn't count :(.

    The reality of the situation is that we have all the right to do just that and more if we desired to do so, calling FRHD the new CR is basically the nicest way we can move forward it is the simplest and clearest statement we have found to move forward.

    I am so sorry i am late to this. I quit for 2 years for my own personal reasons and when I came back, canvas rider was linked to fr3. I got teary eyed. You took the first site where detail was truly explored to its potential. The editor was so simplistic and perfect and while I think it is cool what you guys are trying to do I still hate your editor, its too complicated. And I agree with Elibloodthirst i dont believe in you guys taking away canvas rider. And Maxime did more for the game then you guys ever will. :D
