Ah yeah.

Im not sure what the plans are for featured track moderators / contest judges.

I think a lot of tracks get pushed down that are worth a collection.
Trending only works for so long, and then they get pushed off.
Featured tracks are usually too hard due to focus on detail.

Definitely need another category soon.

 

replace featured tracks with "hall of fame" keeping the same criterias and tracks of today. Then make a recommended tracks section based on tracks that were on trending for more than a set amount of days +allow the same team responsible for "hall of fame" to add tracks without consensus on this list (consensus on hof though)

I would not feel comfortable with Eli on the panel of judges.

 

there would have to be more criteria than just 'being on trending for a while', because then this gets recommended

 

why shouldnt it? people seem to like it since they keep liking it and playing it? afterall it should be based on what the majority likes, and not a handful

 

Thats my main beef with people complaining about trending.... people are voting for it. Obviously 'like baiting' does break the system. Same with people making alt accounts and voting up their own tracks, and voting down everyone else's (You know who you are).

I do like that idea, It does almost need automating, otherwise people get blamed....( oh wait...we get blamed for automated systems...haha

Char I do not believe Eli should be a judge for the contest, no offense to him but his tracks are not fun nor is the detail very realistic or eye appealing. And how can we trust the results of the contest with someone who cannot make a worthwhile track himself. I believe that Eli might become jealous or offended by the great entries that will be submitted to this contest. I know I myself and many others are looking forward to this contest and for all the activity I could bring but I and many others will not participate if the contest is judged by just the feature mods. I believe you should hand pick the judges. And although people may think he's joking pssst is correct in saying that he has had the most successful contest on the website so far.

Stig and Maple should be the judges, no one else.

Not necessarially, its viewable as any other art form. Also, I've done sprites before.

I would accept this. But in the coming months, I dont see stig or maple being active enough for this to work.

 

Create a larger panel of judges for fuuck's sake.
Make everybody happy and give everybody the authority they marvel.

Im not familiar with this character, but I would view it as a referenced work. And I would judge it based upon how closely it matches the shape and color/shades of the sprite it is referenced from.

But as of how it looks, again Im not familiar with the sprite/character, I would have to do my research to give you a more adequate opinion. But it looks straight, probably unfinished, and it appears the colors are getting there.
