Painting the bike I can agree with, that'd be all kinds of cool. Also painting the other vehicles, I feel like you should be able to have the vehicles the same colour as they are represented by the powerups.

This I do not agree with. While I do acknowledge it'd be a lot less work, it would mean you'd start seeing a lot more tracks with just solid black or grey, which would make things a lot uglier when done unskillfully. Another problem that arises with this tool is the fact that the free rider canvas is technically infinite, what would happen if you decided to fill the whole map, or just a very large area? Many tracks in the biggest section with technically no work put into them, plus a big section of people complaining about computer/game crashes when trying to load the track. Finally, drawing in free rider is very like drawing in real life in that you have to fill in these large areas by hand. Seeing a track with solid shading now gives you a sense of hard work and dedication put into the track, whereas if there was a tool that could do all that automatically it would give the sense of laziness and eagerness to get recognised as a 'top' trackmaker.

but that's a completely different game, 2d viewed from top down instead of from the side. the ship doesn't change altitude at all, it would play pretty much the same if it were a car or a bike. a new vehicle would have to introduce some different movement capabilities. there's no use having two balloons in the game.

 

I disagree, because that would make some manually shaded tracks such as shadowland seem much less grand. People who spent hours on their work will suddenly be meh. And it would crowd the biggest list with noobs filling the entire world with grey

 

No only give the feature to Official Authors. Or better yet, PRO owners

Actually I think Char should make an in game VIP badge which is only given to ((non noobs i guess) who get to test out the newly added features
