well, there was a gunman who went into a lindt cafe and made people were made to put their faces up against the windows holding a flag with Arabic writing on it. (Forgot what it said)
I don't actually know what happened in there but I know 3 people got killed.
I think it's to do with ISIS and that. :(
    That's all I know...

The only reason it was shown a lot in Australia is because it NEVER happens, also my condolences to the families of Tori Johnson and Katrina Dawson, poor innocent people :(

Sorry to excuse your rant but what does "American" morality have to do with how the media presents things? As a whole I'd say religious extremism (please no one get butthurt, I'm lookin at you freez) is given far too much respect and credit than its due and is a very potent and dangerous thing, any bad publicity on it is a plus regardless where it came from. I could complain about the millions of lives lost to sex slavery in America, but if the media stirs something up about it from another country I'm not going to blame the whole of American people for it. In this case any bad publicity generated towards sick people is better than none period. It's not an ideal system of course, but if you dig a little deeper on your own free time there are plenty of resources out there for those who want to stop this kind of thing.

All hope is not lost, and American morals will be okay.

Actually, the gunman didnt deserve to die. It is an Extremist Muslim custom to want to be killed in "Standing up for what u believe in". Unfortunately, this for him meant being a coward and taking the life of a civilian, and ruining a nations day. My prayers go out to those affected and i commend the bravery of the Police and the Hostages, who remained calm and watchful in a nasty situation.

I hate arguing on forums. Nothing is accomplished 90 percent of the time. I'll answer your question though.

Morality has everything to do with everything, the motivation, the event, the response, and the portrayal of the event. I actually wasn't referring to how they present things, rather, what they present. I guess I shouldn't have put "American" before morality, really just morality in general, although America's morality is depleting rapidly.

guys, I did start this thread, as much as I love (just figuratively) all of you, please don't argue! ;) Joelbmx does have a point, 90 percent of the time nothing is accomplished! :)
