edit - I won't follow the level one code, I'll simply just make a Mario themed track with the editors. as this disqualifies me, I guess I'm technically not in, and therefore not able to receive prizes, but still am making a track.

edit edit - if I may humbly request as per my edit that the contest creators and judges play my track in the normal editor that would be great

 

So, "your track must be drawn in the "Level 1" code," but you can also edit and delete stuff, so what part of the level 1 code do you need to keep? I know it'll be played with the horizontal camera lock, but theoretically could I submit a track with none of the level one code?

 

draw the track within the top and bottom lines, you can remove some of the lines to make holes and stuff as part of the ride. you can make the track larger horizontally. you can built outside the level 1 code but it won't be judged

 

yeah theoretically, but I'd recommend keeping the track within the border of the box as that'll be the view. here's a video showing how it'll be played (the zoom might be different on different screens, but it'll be lined up as close to the borders as possible):
