That moment when Crypt takes art on a game too seriously

 

Stig, you're making yourself look like a fool man. I'm sure all the kids hopping on your dog make your ego feel as huge as ever, but Ive been studying art in various forms for almost my entire life. I challenge you to put out any art in this game that's as clean, or finished as Generation. I don't think I'm the only person here that knows you can't. I don't agree with your tracing, I feel like that's essentially the same as stealing the drumbeat of a song and adding your own guitars. It's cheap. I wouldn't do it. Overall, it's no sweat off my back though, I'm not a 20-something year old man fighting for my validity. I know my art is dope, and I know that I produce it without tracing somebody else's creativity. Anybody that says otherwise can do so freely.

PS: When you were older than twelve, you were on fr2db and the only art you could do (or at least that any of us saw) was traced and/or some shitty graffiti stencils you painted on a wall. Let's not take potshots man, cause there's a whole bag of bullshít that the kids here don't know about.

PSS: if I never succeeded with my detail, then why is the last track that Ness and I put out, above every single one of yours in the community that it was first released in?

This is my final say on the matter. Laid it down, don't want to continue pointless arguing.

Alright im sorry but keeping peoples past actions out of this, crypt didn't really take anything too serious, I try tirelessly to make my are original without reference pictures or tracing (fudge everyone who says i copy Crypt ) I still put 10 times more effort in than people who trace and that makes me mad, i do however think that Stig has mountains of talent. but for real tracing isnt cool man :/

and actually, I do have one more thing to say on the issue. Before I knew it was traced, I actually expressed praise for this track, and set aside some of my criticisms from the past, then you attacked me for disagreeing with your tracing. real big of you!

 

For me I find it's kinda a bummer that there was some tracing going on. I am here to explain that it is still left as a featured track as there are other aspects/ art of this track that are still great.

I'm with you on that. I never criticised anything other than the fact that I thought the tracing was a shameful display. The track still stands, and I honestly had fun playing it.

Because he didn't handle it very well, but I didn't expect he would. People usually gang on me for other reasons, IE I insult someone or start a fight. I didn't start this fight, I just pointed something out & wasn't at all agressive about it.

 

I agree to a certain extent, it might be shameful, but the fact is that the track is not based on tracing, as less than 50% of the characters have some trace in them, and yet those who are, are only traced to an extent of a 10% to increase precission.
Im not really bothered by it. If you think shading is easy compared to the outlines i think you should reevaluate most of your detailless tracks with only motives, and your silent hill drawing cus it looks kinda clueless.
To me shading is the big thing.
And to say that im drawing like i did 5 yrs ago is ignorant. I wish to pull out black magic as the example.

 

Learn to read. I said that you have improved, and I put down my past criticisms of detail. I only brought that old stuff up because you said you were as good as me when you were twelve. Also, my silent hill teaser drawing that I released is all shading, and not clueless at all. It's even anatomically correct. Been studying pyramid head's body and design for a while now. Maybe this will give you a clearer picture, seeing as you don't seem to know what a torso or arms look like.



Also, I don't have any detailless tracks so I'm not sure I follow.

 

Where is this teaser drawing? I wanna see it. I also don't wanna dig through mountains of pages of the WIP thread to find it, lol.

Why do you feel so offended by this, and blowing it so far out of proportion? You make rage post after rage post (including crypt, but he has been my biggest imposter and biggest critque at the same time, so i dont take criticism from him). Cus in the end, if we were to make a track with a scenery, a theme. You would have nothing to stand up with. And when you finally have the opportunity to make people believe that you can make better "art" than me, you go all in.
