bhr was a ripoff of canvas rider/fr2, dunno which one. probs canvas. Canvas rider itself was made by a fan, not official devs. The only reason they became popular was that fr2 kinda died, so remaining fans used canvas, then when that died some people hopped to bhr, another fan-made copy. This is all stuff I've heard and pieced together myself after about a year and a bit. FRHD was made by official devs and hosted by Kano, but launched in very late 2013, like December. This left the people in 2012 and 2011 to keep working on a sinking ship (canvas), stop working altogether as many people did (it's only been the die-hard fans who've stuck and found alternatives), start using fr3 launched in 2012 but probably unpopular because I never hear anyone mention it, and bhr (many went there). The reason you can't get onto bhr is because the invite system broke, so gun tells me, he was the last member to get on in 2016. Pie42 (I'm pretty sure it was him though it could've been genericusername actually) told me that the site had completely died and you couldn't get on in early 2018, but going back to it now, I find it's still up. So there you have it, all I know about the mysterious and elusive bhr.
Hang on... So you've always thought that we use an external software to spacebar? Of course, there must be a few players who will go down this route but I believe this is inefficient due to the difficulty of pressing the keys at the right timing.
I'm sure there are people who use tools but won't admit it. i remember a while ago on bhr tomiy made a script which made spacebarring super easy and that just made the hundreds of hours of practice i did doing it legit seem pointless which lead me to loss motivation to ghost and play this game in general
almost right, I wasnt the LAST person to join bhr, just one of the few. also canvas rider didn't really die it kinda got shut down by kano after they bought the copyright to it, and released FRHD
The featured ghosts list gives a very reliable indication about who is cheating more than other cheaters.
As a follow up to my earlier post a little bit late <3 stig I can make a tutorial on setting toggle able keybinds and and finding keys which work for one to start spacebarring if their keyboards do not allow it by default (like mine) Before anyone asks, it does not autospacebar, it does not lag your computer, it uses <0.1mb of ram and is made using autohotkey so you will have to install that (its tiny tho) If anyone wants it just say
Sure its not for everyone, but in my case, i'm not creatively skilled enough to make good tracks (as much as I wish I was) so I turned to racing instead, spacebarring was simply the natural progression of me trying to improve. I'm fine with you calling me a tryhard but at least i'm doing something. In your case, I don't see you making any good ghosts, I don't see you making any good tracks nor do I see you making any impact on the forums. So why are you even here?
Because I find the game fun. In your case if you play this game you have to be good? All I said was that you try really hard in this game. I never said it was bad.
That script was super impractical and just made things more inconsistent than doing it by hand, there was a better method that just consisted in injecting a bit of js to bind a hotkey to the "make a checkpoint" command. I can't say for sure who used it but you can check for ghosts who desync in the middle of nowhere to find out, it's the same bug where you press a hotkey on the frame you get a checkpoint Hint: lots of trick ghosts have that property
