The cost ramps up pretty quick on some items. Hats will be cheap, helmets can be earned in a week or so, and novelty items could take up to a year of play.

Getting lifetime achievements in for total track likes would definitely help you get some more coins, especially if you find that you are spending more time creating tracks than playing them.

About that, I've been playing FRHD since May and I had just enough coins for one of the cheaper helmets, so I don't know how you guys make your money but I can't get 4000 coins in a week haha
