sounds like me only the numbers are slightly lower,
      My version of it:
I used to solve an average of maybe 16 seconds but now i don't solve anymore. I could solve one now maybe 23 sec.
      :D

Man, I've worked on the 1x1 for hours at a time and watched a billion tutorials but I can't figure out how to solve it! What's your secret?

Yeah, I know how you feel, bro. I couldn't figure it out either for years. But then this astounding chap made a walkthrough and with a bit of practice I was able to solve it at lighting-speed!

Remember the all-important MIDDLE FINGER and THUMB on both hands. You NEED these to solve the cube.

Do you do F2L, complete the top then align the pieces or align the pieces first then complete the top?

I guess complete the top than align the pieces but idk that question was a little fuzzy to me
I do C.F.O.P. method but with a two step oll or O.
So I make the bottom cross than complete the f2l (or fiirst two layers) simultaneously by pairing the edge with the corner and then inserting them to the proper corner, then I Orient the top face to all the same color then I permute the last pieces simoltainiously and the cube is solved.
Also I'm what people call color-neutral which means I can start on any side.
Sorry if I made that too complicaded, I just took an iQ test and got a 140 so I guess I'm bragging:D but I bet my spelling was pathetic lol

All understandable. I do exactly the same but I don't do F2L

f2L with 2 step OLL and 1 step PLL

You have to use F2L if u want to speed solve

For F2L, you have to solve everything upside down, so i solve the cross upside down, then create F2L 'pairs' and finish the white layer whilst completing the first two layers hence F2L. Then the rest. Its hard to explain through text

yeah I have recently become color neutral. I used to solve with green on the top and blue on the bottom. I also do CFOP.

Not really to solve fast, no real method is needed. Although CFOP is my main method, you can get the same times with Roux, ZZ, Petrus etc if you practice enough.

But you'd have to know cfop and color neutral to do what this pro can do
PS. he used the generated scramble built in to the online timer

I know BUT this is because CFOP is nore widely accepted. Other methods are not practiced enough.
The WR for one handed average is by Kian Mansour who uses Roux. Actually it comes down to personal preference.

i disagree, CFOP is the most viable option. If 4 people were learning to solve a cube in the fastest time, CFOP would be supreme
