Is it third of december or twelfth of march?

3 means the third month, 12 means the 12th day and 18 is the year

 

Over in Britain, we have it the other way round though Todredrob
3/12/2018 would be "the 3rd of december, 2018" like
I know you guys in America are like march the twelfth though
