Good scale, some nice focal points in the track. There is some variation in what’s done, however it is majority left unfinished. Just not enough done for me to critique you on things. Detail is sloppy and feels rushed. Take your time with detailing and focus on the shaping of objects. Ride is very similar to bare bones, expanded areas feel rushed, poor powerup placement, would suggest more refinement.

Very ambitious, there’s a lot that extends beyond just remixing and it makes me feel like you have a fervor in trackmaking/drawing. Lots of quantity and I would say you did a good job in maintaining quality throughout the track. Great job in presenting an overall feel/theme to your track, there is a sense of progression/story as you ride through which helps to make it more enjoyable. I don’t know anything about 2001: A Space Odyssey but based on your track I’d assume it’d be along the lines of a sci-fi mystery. There is a good amount of remixing in the beginning, the ride is very back-and-forth with small jumps. The ride in part 2 nicely switches the pace up with slightly longer gaps between jumps. Good placement of powerups, no weird incidents. Good amount of focal points and areas of interest to keep people visually engaged through the ride. Good amount/variety/complexity of draws, detail fills out track nicely, detail is consistent, good scale.
Your detailing/drawing skill however is lacking, this of course will improve naturally over time if you keep at it. Issue with detail blending in with everything; lack of separation of things, terrain lines begin to look more like patterns on a wall. This issue is very prevalent in part 1 where terrain looks 2D/flat(which I don’t think was intentional), part 2 is much better in regards to this with the monolith examination area demonstrating a good sense of perspective and proportion(shaping of figures needs more work). Try shading more, it’ll give needed separation of things in track while providing more visual interest through contrast and possibly can highlight key parts in the track. Or darken things near the front while things further away are more faint or have separation in the detail itself: don’t always have to connect the detail from the BG/back layer to the FG/layer of terrain at the front. Or keep things further away less detailed with things at front very detailed. Composition of part 1 is a bit squished and cluttered, the scale seems off to the left or is a bit empty. Part 2 is well composed. Overall with how much there is, it is well done.

There are some interesting bits scattered throughout the track, the issue I have is they feel all very disconnected and out of place. Detail style is inconsistent and feels less like a track and more like a collage of images/stickers. This issue is exacerbated by how empty the majority of the track is, the track suffers a lot from a lack of quantity. The style at the bottom is really well done, wished you kept that going throughout the track. The ride is very similar to the original bare bones but with need for more refinement.

Great scale. The composition in the track is what I would say makes up the majority of its visual appeal. Good mix-up of shapes, good mix of curves and angles for visual interest. No part feels underwhelmingly empty, little detail but it still feels filled out. Detail/style is clear, clean, and consistent. Nice to have little bits of debris floating around, really adds a lot to the overall feel of the track and helps to give a sense of movement happening. Great remixing of the original ride, incorporation of the ride with the detail is seamless, doesn’t feel forced and it almost doesn’t look like a remix. Visually could use a bit more, I’m assuming this is in space: BG asteroids/ debris, planets in BG, BG solar systems, etc. There’s not much critique regarding the actual detail since there isn’t much and what there is is fine, maybe suffering from being a bit too plain; detail is a bit too safe, while it doesn’t detract from the track it doesn’t add much for it. In the future can try to up the complexity of detail or shapes, enhance the theme/s, play around more with the design of things and really add more uniqueness to them(structures, ufos, etc.).
Ride is interesting, multiple routes in the remix is impressive and provides more replayability. Nice little variation with the truck and blob sections. Lines are well placed and rides smoothly, powerups well placed, no weird incidents. Good amount of variations in the ride to keep it fun, I would also consider this a form of creativity.

Interesting layout compared to the other entries, you’ve chosen to expand the track upwards. When zoomed out the initial focal point for me was the behemoth and because of the track’s layout my eyes gravitated upwards and stayed within the drawing, this composition really helps make the track feel visually whole and complete. There is a good sense of movement captured in the detail, I would say you’ve done well in depicting the massive eruption of water and the chaos that ensued as a result. As you go up the track things seem to slow/settle down in the scene, this was reflected in the ride and detailing. The change from bursting water to lofty, settling cloud/mist as you progress up the track is a really nice touch. Loved the build-up.
Style is fairly consistent, level of detail is kept constant, and there is a nice amount of visual variety. Detail quality gets a bit sloppy such as puffs at top. One notable thing to mention is how much is going on yet I’m still able to distinguish the debris from the water from the buildings, etc. A really excellent job. Some issues I have however is that almost everything feels like they share the same texture, elements in your track could have more character and identity to them; things don’t quite feel distinctive enough(behemoth, palm trees) and everything shares a smooth glossy-like texture. The roof material on the right is an instance where this isn’t the case but it is still difficult to tell the material. Depth is another issue, objects feel rather flat. Use shading to increase volume and depth, this would additionally texture the things in your track depending on how you choose to shade. Also would provide opportunities for more contrast and create more visual interest.
Overall it feels fairly creative and original, the ride plays well and powerups are well placed. The track is clear in where you should go and the ride itself is nice and pleasant. The switch in pace near the top of the track and down the balloon provided some variability.

It looks like you got some ideas down but there just isn’t enough for me to judge on. I like how you try to incorporate the details/objects into the ride itself. I definitely consider that a form of creativity. Detail itself appears to be on the right track, appears like there would be an overall consistent theme and style. I suggest varying and adding more uniqueness to your shapes, currently everything is too blocky. Remix of the ride feels rushed and there are several issues throughout, powerup placements could be more refined.

Love the track layout, it almost reminds me of hawnks. It has a particular charm about it that I really like. The level of detail is pretty light but I’m glad you went this route(intentional or not). Love the look of it and the feel of the ride. It’s very engaging and again it’s very charming. Major gripe is that it looks rather incomplete regarding the buildings section. Feels as though much of your creative design was spent on the spaceship and much of the other things in your track didn’t get the same treatment. Good variation of things in the track: spaceship and planets to the structures to the rocky terrain. Good variations in the shapes, makes things much more interesting because of that. Detail is fairly consistent, track feels fleshed out enough, and the layout overall has a nice triangular composition. Good bits of contrast also. Poor choice in keeping the area to the left so sloppy, detracts a bit from the overall appearance. Certain parts look a little off such as the smoke: bit too jagged and overdone. For the future you can try to up the complexity of things and refine the shapes of objects more.
The ride is nice, it’s simple and everything works. Also a good mixup in the kind of ride from the buildings/structures part to the rocky terrain part(platformer to back-and-forth slopes and jumps). Powerups are placed well and there is a good amount of vertical room for the jumps. Could be a bit more creative with the building designs, there are some nice touches scattered about(satellite, observatory, vehicle wreck, etc.) would love to see more of that. Overall a solid, well-rounded track. Great job.
