Note: These are the top 10. At the moment, I wanted to stick to my word and ease the tention, at the same time, I have some things I have to attend to. I will finish the results later on tonight.
ROUND 1 RESULTS
First off thank you to everyone who participated in Round 1, we got loads of creative and fun entries. I'm so happy the contest is as successful as it's been. I've eagerly trying to get in contact with MMi so he could come and give his opinion like I've tried to do with the original creators in the past, however he has been absent. So, I got the next best thing in a stylisticly similar and great trackmaker, Plastic. His favorite is marked
*Plastic's Pick* and his accompanying comments are shown in spoilers. Anyways, I know you've been anticipating to know who won Round 1, so here it is:
1.
Max007x - Ghost Stories -
10/10 *Plastic's Pick*: It takes a great trackmaker to cross the boundary of detail into imagery. The subtle characteristics such as the dead man in the painting, allowed the track to have somewhat of a personality of it's own, and one could assume the atmosphere inside the track. Also, using the underground portion of MMi's track and turning it into a basement was beyond genius in my opinion. I believe the track has been remixed so well, the original is in the shadow of this one. And so, perfect score.

Max was one of my favorite trackmakers back in the day, and that hasn't changed. You knocked it out of the park on the detail. Simple, clean, but full. In particular, I loved the clouds. They filled up the screen, but didn't demand attention away from the rest of the detail. The house is a great centerpiece, and everything around it compliments it well, and your style is very consistent. The track itself I also enjoyed. The house portion of the track was my favorite part, trackwise. I like the house because you added a completely new part to the track, and made the existing track revolve around it without it feeling like a detour. Great track, love your style as always.
2.
alexander - The Ultrapark -
9.9/10 *pssst's Pick*: Without a doubt, this takes the cake for the most creative alteration to the original track. I had no forseeable thought that anyone would attempt to make a skatepark out of the track. Luckily, I was dead wrong because this is one of the funnest I've ever played. Also, I have a gameboy color and I am a huge nerd for old pokemon games. A few people also decided to try doing clean detail, but this one was the best at doing that as well.

First off, I love the building its in with the trees on the sides. Little things like that tie a track together. Second, I really like that there are multiple ways of beating this track. I didn't beat it, although I spent a while playing around on it, trying different ways, and it was very fun. I really don't have any complaints about this track, solid all around
3.
crane - Tranquil -
9.7/10: You also made the step into an imagery. I am one to believe that there is monks somewhere guarding a dragon's cave. And I love how you allowed the detail to influence the track, such as the monk throwing smoke into the air, which is rideable, and is a geniusly creative way to bridge the detail into the track. Also, I believe the dragon takes the cake for the most outstanding individual artistic piece present so far in the contest. The remix faulters in no way. For a moment it looked like a surefire first place.

So far, this one has my favorite theme I've seen. Awesome execution of it, and amazing art, along with great rock detail. There's not much else to say, it just looks great.I also enjoyed the changes to the track. Very fun! I love the whole thing.
4.
armator - Crane in Wonderland -
9.5/10: brandon chase WALTON. Anyways the art here is unmatched in the contest, and like referenced previously it has a lot small bits that I naturally fell in love with. I am also a fool for a good story, which I do believe this effectively shows what would happen to crane if he did eat some shrooms and was eaten by a monster. This was hard to keep out of the top 3, but the track lacks effective reusage, which most entries capitalized on.

Creative as always! No need for any changes in the track, the focal point is obviously the art. One of the best artists of FR, amazing job, easily one of my favorite of these tracks.
5.
WheelieMaker - Undiscovered -
9.4/10: You did a great job applying your style to the track. I also love the experimental way you altered the 2nd half of the track. However it seems forced and crammed into a small area. Regardless, the quality of the detail and reusage of the track is far above the standard. I understood your complaints before, I just don't quite believe this was your track to put everything into. Hopefully, you have a better chance Round 2.

I really enjoyed this track. I liked that it wasn't super straight forward for me to play through, I felt like I had to get a little creative to beat it. It reminds me of the oldschool trials. The detail for the most part was solid. Everyone knows I enjoy the clean style. I felt there were a few spots where you used the messy style along with the clean style, and it might not have flowed super well, but it wasn't a big concern for me. Overall, great remix.
6.
nasrani - _ok -
9.3/10: Within the confines of the track, I believe the detail is unmatched. I really haven't seen a style this experimental or lifelike yet effectively done. Where the track faulters however, is outside the confines of the main track. How you left closed ends at both sides of the track, seems almost uninterested to me. But recently, I've been falling in love with all things Japanese and I love the symbols you added which compliment the character of the track.

The detail is a little messy, but it fills space nicely, so it works out alright. I think you could benefit from using some more scenery lines, but if that's your style, do what you do. You added a negligible amount to the track, so there isn't much to say on that one either. Overall, I think it's a good looking track.
7.
Elibloodthirst - Inspiration -
9.1/10 (tie): Damn, took a step back to PG-13. The detail is alright, but what I really love about the track is the amount of character it has. The small things such as the face and the laundry compliment the character in the track, which has that all-over happy feel. But back to that art piece, it looks a lot better than the 1st one and I'm just starting to get into anime again, so with all the things here I feel it adds another dimension to the track. As far as the track goes, I feel it didn't have enough reusage.

Boy, eli, those rocks! You've got that style going pretty well. There's a few spots where the rocks are sort of awkward, but overall I like that style. The underground part could've been detailed a little more, with less panties, but whatevs
7.
Egghead - Squared Roots -
9.1/10 (tie): This track could also contend for the best reusage of the track. When, you put the original over this track, you'll notice they both follow the same general directions in very well thought out different ways. My main problem is, I feel in some ways the detail you added hurt itself, because I can appreciate the clean look but your addition of unnecessary detail makes the track look messy and forced. I believe this was due to limited space and you felt it was necessary to add filler, hopefully the larger amount of room in Round 2's track will help you.

I like the closed-in theme on this one. The changes to the track were pretty big, and I liked it overall. I don't have any complaints on this one, I like everything I see.. except the scribbly box.
9.
YoYo124 - Death Desert -
9/10: The way you redid and emulated MMi's detail honestly was great. I believe the way you redirected the track to go beyond it while reusing nearly all of the original track was extraordinary. Honestly, for a rushed entry this is very fun and the clean detail works to your benefit. Although, work on your track title game. If the theme is a desert, I don't see it.

I can't really pick on this one too much, you kept way too much of the original track. What you did add wasn't really all the technical or flowy or anything, it was sort of just something to get past.
10.
mR..A - Fashionably Late -
8.8/10: I love the track because it is immensely fun and also accomplishes a good clean detail style. In the track, every part of the original went unignored and was all altered to make fun additions or add new direction. But like most rushed entries, it doesn't have the aesthetic greatness that some of the above achieved. If you could create a track this fun while creating some impact detail, you're definite top 3.

My bro. Details a little lighter than I remember you do, but it's definitely not bad. It's sort of a filler for an awesome ghosting track. I really like what you do, and the tricks you put in there. Good work
