1. Never go grocery shopping when your hungry, you'll buy what you don't need. The same thing goes for the people you surround yourself with. Don't look for friends or relationships when you feel lonely, you will choose people that might not be good for you, but you don't realize it until its too late.

2. Never change your mind simply because others think your wrong. Think long and hard about where you stand. Think about the true reasons why you believe that, then challenge those thoughts. This will strengthen your mind and nobody can change it after that. Stay strong and never cave to pressure.

 

Surround yourself with people that challenge your thoughts and keep you in check. Don't hang out with people who just nod their head and act like they agree. These people will never have your back if they don't care enough about you to keep you in check.

I always see people say, "always stand strong in what you believe and never change." But no. When your way of thinking is challenged, contemplate why you think that way and if your ideas are baseless or incorrect, be open to changing your thought process. This is how people improve themselves.

Also, this obviously won't work with everybody, but for me, if I need to think about something or let something off my chest, I frequently find it helpful to pray about it.

 

I see on the news, shootings in LGBT gatherings. People who believe in God being killed, the internet fighting over theyre opinions. People dying left and right for other peoples stupid actions. it all makes me mad.

The point is, were all Human despite our beliefs. Thats why I dont really believe in anything myself anymore, including humanity. and if all humanity does is fight each other, than I may not be human, or maybe im the only human.

Instead of fighting you should accept the fact that were all human, own up to your pointless hatred towards peoples ideas. Were all delusional inside anyway, let them be in their own delusion.
Belief isnt fact until it comes true anyway. I Guess my belief where everyone gets along despite their ideas will never come to fruition.
Until something becomes humanitys common enemy, this may never happen. And no, humanity does not have a common enemy yet, perhaps an Alien race would serve as one...

 

I think that saying that we're having pointless bickering is truthful to an extent, but not very helpful. I agree that there are plenty of things that we will argue about, and lots of them are pointless but not everything is. I think a much better way to look at it would be "just because you think "A" and I think "B" we can still be friends". I really dislike when I have done nothing to somebody and then they find out something about me and automatically get all defensive and start trying to change my mind. A good example for this would be my religion. I have done nothing to anyone but it seems that when somebody finds out what my religion is they are immediately dissuaded from being acquainted with me. Multiple times I will be having a conversation, and I'll say something or other, and someone will say "Oh you're Mormon?" and I'll be like "yeah..?" and they will immediately start telling me all sorts of things. I am the butt of many jokes with my friend group because of it. I get made fun of for it all the time, both by people of the same religion, but mostly of people outside. I think that people don't realize that it's not really like I can just leave whatever they're saying and go back to a group of people that has the same ideology as me. I am an outcast pretty much everywhere I go, for a variety of reasons. Something i think is interesting is that there are so many jokes about the LDS church here, but you couldn't say any of those things about other religions, like Muslims, or Jews. I think that it's kind of ridiculous to think that it's any better for me. My point for all of this is being that just because I do something you don't agree with that doesn't mean that we have to talk about it, or argue about it. Constantly be trying to change my mind. It's hard enough for me as is, and I just wish I could say that to somebody. People need to just fvcking stop with most of this arguing. It is pointless to talk about this in metaphors and riddles, it's pretty straightforward. Just start being decent to one another. Someone might be annoying, someone might be religious, someone might not, someone might be republican, or democrat, or gay, or straight, or whatever. Just because you do not agree it does not mean that people can not be friends.
