Awesome, looks really detailed. I do think that the detail on it doesn't completely make sense though. The one in the back looks nice but the shading of the other 2 looks a bit random. Can't really judge it too well because of the size, and obviously it's only a really small part of the track so that makes it even harder to judge, but I'm looking forward to it (y)
Thanks, I actually used a reference photo for the rocks though, with gray and black the shading was as close as I could get to the actual rock textures. They aren't completely done however.
That looks awesome. I remember you from the Canvas Rider community, you were one of the best track-makers. I can't seem to find your track gallery in this game, do you post tracks with another name or haven't just posted anything yet?
Thank you, and you should be able to find my tracks here: http://www.freeriderhd.com/u/forlorn333/created
Progress so far. Oh jesus it's getting big (that's what she said). Oh and I need your help with 2 things 1. Should I make a background or is it just too much? (It's a cave) 2. I'm getting these weird "dead" spots in which I can't draw anything. When I press Ctrl+Z or erase a bit from that spot, the lines show up. The spots are squares and are getting really annoying... Is this a known bug or should I make a thread to the "is something broken" topic?
I would not do any background detail to that the detailing is pretty impressive as is (if you add background scenery it may be too much) also my winter campaign track progress:
BHR eraser is far better and more precise. Other than that the two are pretty similar, it's just preference and some are more familiar with the old editor
Don't skimp on background, seriously, it's basically the canvas where you have no interference by the ride so you can create amazing immersion.
You could do super light background detail, the idea of background detail as heavy and thick as the foreground makes my head spin.
