I don’t think contestant comparability is that great of a way to score people. Based on the last round scores contestant compatibility is just not being able to see the differences in style. Not how great their combined work looks. It almost forces people to use a detail style that doesn’t look as good as their own style just to get more points. I think it makes it so there is less creativity and detail. Overall leading to a worse track

 

adding to this, it forces not as good detailers to take the time and pain to match the detail of their teammate. I don't want to spend 5 hours detailing like Clash does. Clash is insane at detail. I'm not as good.

 

I was also rating how good they look together, I just forgot to mention that in the notes.

 

I agree, but as seen with Zonka's and matincats track, you don't need to do insane detail to get something really good

 

sure, that's true. But me being paired with Clash this round, knowing what stuff he can cook up, I'm going to have to tag along to make sure that our track blends together. Sure, I'll do most of the track bits, but I'll need to help out with t he detail if I want to really pitch in and improve our scores.

Saying that out loud, I'm not regretting partnering up with Clash, but I am feeling like this is gonna be a LONG week.

Honestly 5 hours ain’t that much. Once you get to really loving to make art it seems so short. Once you truly enjoy drawing your detail and creativity will become so much better.
