Honestly I think spruce should have placed because his work was mostly art, about 50% of the ppl who placed just used grid and made a bunch of cubes and rectangles, which has no effort and skill
what were the scores out of? And u should have said what u were going to score the track on before, i wouldve made it easier for my track
score from 1-50 on each for a total score of 2-100. The problem was that I had't decided on how I was judging them when I started the contest. I didn't think of the scoring system until later on
And i think wave should have definitely placed he shouldve gotten the top three. Did he not tag u or violate any of the rules
Take a minute to look through the thread and see what I wrote to him and spruce, then you will see why
I agree with spruce and wave that it was ur fault and should've told us on what u were grading it on, after all its a "Picture" contest
If it was just about art, I would have had you guys draw me a picture and mail it to me. Anyways, it was my first contest, I was bound to screw up somewhere. Honestly, the fact that you are all complaining about this is kinda stupid. So what if you didn't get in the top 10??? Its not like there was a coin prize or anything that substantial??? And I even said in the rules that you had to incorporate the track into the picture. If you didn't do this, you were less likely to win. Simple as that. Look, I apologize that everything was not stated clearly at the very beginning, but cut me some slack. This was my first time running a contest, and I ended up with about 20 more entries than I expected, so it wasn't exactly easy for me.
guys, lets give him a break. it was a fun contest, and some great tracks were submitted. besides I know how stressful it is to have a track not publish correctly bc its happened to me on a track which I spent about 30 hours on (optical tour). he's not going to change the results, so we should all just move on.
