So that's it guys, the 14th round for ORG has finished. I have to say that I'm a little disappointed, despite liking the ride overall. It's tough to host a long contest like this, and it can become repetitive, so the team is trying the best to keep the contest interesting. We created the challenges, had some ideas for bonus rounds, changed the scoring system, gave free breaks to people on summer breaks and other stuff to either make the contest fair or fun, or both, whenever it's possible. So it's kinda sad that whenever we tried to change the dynamic a little bit not many people got onboard with the idea. But it's ok, I personally don't think the idea was bad, it was a fun thing to change stuff a little bit, but yeah, some great ghosters ended up not getting as many points despite doing great ghosts, because their teammates didn't ghost. Still, I don't think it's unfair, since people were appropriately notified of how things were going to go, and if you join a ghosting contest, it's expected that you make ghosts on the tracks for the contest. If that happened, the placements would be only decided by the team average times, which would have been better. Still, since this is not the case, I think we were as fair as possible. Congrats to everyone who completed the track, I don't think it was a track that hard, just a bit long, but congrats anyways, everyone who completed it will gain some points. The players who didn't, however, will lose 30 points as previously announced.

Shoutout to Team 9 for being the only team where most players completed the track, great job guys.

PS1: I'll be updating the spreadsheet as soon as I can. Might try to make that banner as well.
PS2: We'll probably focus on individual stuff for the next bonus rounds, but I think that this was a fair attempt.
PS3: BURNT_DONKEY sadly was eliminated from the contest, since he didn't complete the track

*Handful_Of_Ants was banned from the contest for using TAS and his ghosts were invalidated.

*ItsYaBoiAndy was on a break but we forgot to remove him from the matchups.​

 

No worries, man. Being on this contest is kind of a huge commitment for sure, I'm surprised we are surviving this far. I hope we go through with it until the end, though. Since you are leaving on your own, you can always come back if you want. Good luck with your tournaments, man.

 

I read it, but it wouldn't make a difference this time. The players had until 24 hours before the round started to announce a break, so although I understand your reasons, there's not much we could do, especially since the main criteria was the number of players who completed the track.

As for people leaving, many players are on breaks until further notice for the summer, so some people already left, but since it isn't something that is relevant for all players, considering the different ages and locations from people in the contest, the contest will keep going as usual, but people who can't ghost during this time can have free breaks until September.

 

If they are still valid with the changes in the rankings, they will persist. I'll take a close look on this once I finish updating the leaderboard.

 

Finally updated the spreadsheet. Not even the team round could make someone get closer to RedOrBlue, who's keeping an amazing lead with a perfect performance so far. Since his team did good in the Team Round that we just had, he also achieved the Diamond rank as well. Congrats! Will someone be able to beat him eventually? Let's wait and see. DrChill got 1st place in the last round and his team did good enough, so he managed to surpass Cerasium in the leaderboard and is now the 2nd place. Cerasium follows him closely in 3rd place, only 3 points behind. I'm in 4th place closing the Platinum players, and Chaos-Fallen is on 5th place. We had some big losses this week, with players like Lax66Lax and NotVeryGood leaving, but I hope you guys had a great time in the contest, it was nice having you guys on it. You guys will be missed, just as many others that left the contest, but you guys can always come back if you want.
