Contest ORG Season 1 - End Of Season Tournament - Prizes Out!

Epic stuff, guys. Great match between RadiumRC and Cerasium, really impressive stuff! Props to RadiumRC for beating Cerasium. Not an easy task. The poll was 9-5 for RadiumRC, so I guess it went as expected, which is crazy. It shows how legendary is RadiumRC's form in the game lately. As for DrChill, gg, man. I tried to beat you, almost did a few times, but I didn't have much time to ghost. Super busy weekend. The poll was 7-6 in my favor, but we know you are a bit better, especially on offroad tracks, so I guess it was fair. Good luck in the final! Let's see how the 3rd place match will go. You guys already completed the track, so I won't mention people in the track or send alerts. I'll update the poll soon, though.

Also, the original deadline would be at December 20th (8pm BRT/6pm EST/5pm CST/4pm MST/3pm PST/11pm GMT), but we are changing it to 24 hours later, on December 21st at the same time. So you guys have 76 hours and 46 minutes.

 

The End of Season Tournament is ending in 5 hours and 39 minutes. I have been busy so I have not been very active around here, but thanks to everyone that joined the ORG and EOST. Let's see if there will be any changes for the 1st place, because I think I won't try too much more on the 3rd place match. GG Cerasium, and good luck to RadiumRC and DrChill.

I already have Pro, but the other sponsors still didn't get it, so let's see if it'll change in the following weeks. The FRHD Support Team said that they would handle it, so let's wait for a bit longer.

Here it goes. The End Of Season Tournament has ended, and that concludes a really wild ride with many big ghosting contests this year. What a year for the ghosting community, haha. Even not considering updates in the top 100 list and the Ghosting Awards, we had a pretty crazy year. Despite not having that many updates in the year, we had many new ghosters taking over the Official Featured Ghosts thread, which was pretty cool to see. But I feel like the contests were probably the main reason the ghosting community stayed strong this year. We had the Free Rider World Cup 5, where mudkip got an unexpected win, with Backtwice as the runner-up and Cerasium in 3rd place (starting to show his true potential). Then we had the ORG for most of the year, that crowned Cerasium the champion, with me being in 2nd place and DrChill in 3rd, with relevant mention to RadiumRC and Silver_bird7 that came in late and did amazing, finishing in the top 5. Before the end of the ORG we had the Ghosting Battle Contest 3 - Duos Edition, that crowned Cerasium and Cerulean as the champions, RedOrBlue and Stevie.T as the runner-ups and Madara and I as the ones in 3rd place. After the end of the ORG regular season, we got the top 16 in the End Of Season Tournament, that ended now. We had an interesting round on a relatively short track by Apocolypse (cool track, despite having that shortcut). Here are the results:

Let's talk a little bit about the players in this round:

In 4th place we had this guy named Totoca12. He tried his best at least until the Semifinals, but he got really busy IRL and didn't have much time to ghost, haha. Still didn't do bad in the year, with a 3rd place in the GBC3 and an unexpected 2nd place in the ORG. Good job!

In 3rd place we got Cerasium. When we saw how the matchups were looking like, it was clear that if RedOrBlue wasn't active the winner would probably come from this side of the bracket. We had Sidewalk, Cerasium, Silver_bird7 and RadiumRC all on this side, so we knew things would get tough. Cerasium was probably the 2nd best overall in the End Of Season Tournament, but he lost to the champion in the Semifinals, so he only got 3rd place after beating me. What a year. You joined 4 major contests this year, got 1st place in two and 3rd place in the other two. Great stuff, man! The poll was a brutal 10-0 in your favor and you didn't disappoint. Well-done!

In 2nd place we had DrChill. I feel like either you or RedOrBlue deserved the 2nd place medal in the ORG, so it's cool that you got this one. You beat me by a little bit in the semifinals, and although you didn't beat RadiumRC, you did a good ghost and ended this "season" well. Good job! A deserved 2nd place medal.

In 1st place we had the great champion of the End Of Season Tournament, RadiumRC! What a legend! You are on fire lately and you are putting yourself in a higher level day after day. It's really cool to see! I think you got 1st place overall in like 6 out of 8 of the last ORG/EOST rounds. Insane stuff, man. What a way to end the year! A very deserving 1st place medal! The poll was 13-1 in your favor and you didn't disappoint. Let's see what you can do in 2022. Good stuff, man.

It was interesting to see how the End Of Season Tournament ended up. The final ended up being 3rd vs 4th place from the ORG and the 3rd place match was the 1st vs 2nd from the ORG, lol. Things not always go as expected, haha. I'll update the last posts that need to be updated. We are still waiting to see how the prizes will be handled, but I'll award the medals soon. It was a really long year for ghosting contests, especially for me that was hosting all of them, haha. But we made it. Shoutout to Madara for also being involved on all of them and to Eryp for being involved in some level on most of them as well. Also, shoutout again to Coated_Badger for the ORG idea, because that was what really kept things going for the ghosting community this year. Shoutout to the trackmakers (RandomTurtleBoi, Slayed, MadMaxx21, SCrane, Apocolypse) as well. You guys helped a lot with the tracks for the EOST. I need to take a solid break from hosting ghosting contests, at least until I figure some things out. So don't expect a Free Rider World Cup 6 or an ORG Season 2 starting anytime soon (if they do happen). I'll let you guys know of any updates.​
