List Official Featured Ghosts

We are working on the new update, but we'll most likely not finish it this year. Expect some news in the following post, though.

Hey, guys. What's up? We are about to reach 500 pages on this thread after this post. Absolutely insane. I vividly remember the day it was created, lol. Quick update here. While we try to finish the reviews for the update (that this time is being made by me, Anonyymi and Eryp), we wanted to update you guys with some news regarding the Ghost Mods.

Anonyymi has been helping through most of the year, despite not having the Ghost Mod role, but in general, RadiumRC and I were the ones that were involved in pretty much all of the updates in the official ghosting threads this year. With Radium sort of leaving, we were worried about me being the only permanent "Ghost Mod", so we are looking to expand the team.

For this month, Eryp came off retirement as a Ghost Mod (lol) to help a little bit with the reviews and ghosting awards and Anonyymi helped as well, but we felt like from now on that we needed more people. With that said, we talked to a fair amount of players, received some applications and decided to announce 3 new Ghost Moderators:

- Anonyymi - First of all, the guy that has been acting as a Ghost Mod for a few months already, now finally gets his promotion. One of the FRHD GOATs for sure, Anonyymi will be joining the team with an official role right now. Years of dominance in the game, dozens of featured ghosts over the years, 2 major ghosting contest wins, got the Legendary Ghoster medal, was 1st place in the top 100 lists from 2019, 2020 and 2021 and 3rd place in the 2022 one. An undeniable legend! He might not be able to be active all the time, but whenever he's around he'll be helping, as he has been doing for the past couple of months. Welcome to the team, man.

- Calculus - Experienced ghoster Calculus will also be joining the team. The guy that has years of experience in the game, featured ghosts over the years, the recognized ghoster medal, a ghosting contest medal and lots of additional ghosting experience. He'll also help as a Ghost Mod from now on. In his specific case, since he's a programmer, he'll also provide some additional knowledge regarding cheaters, ghost codes, scripts, tools to help making our job easier and other issues or things on that regard. We already work together on a few "side projects", like updating a Github file to show the featured ghosts highlighted in the game with FRHD Lite and a few other things, with possible inclusions in the future, so I'm sure it'll be a very interesting addition for the team. He might not be doing every Ghost Mod task throughout the whole year, but we'll count on him to help whenever we need him.

- Sidewalk - Another experienced ghosting legend that dominated the game for a while years ago, came back and is still doing good in the game again. The guy has the legendary ghoster medal, lots of experience, so he'll also be a cool addition to help the Ghost Mod team. He'll be a more permanent addition especially for the Official Featured Ghosts list team and the Top 100 list team, so you guys can look forward to that in the future.

We also have some helpers that give us some input in some cases, like Chaos-Fallen, so we are also adding Cork to that "role". It's more like for occasional inputs and tiebreakers, but I guess we are comfortable now with the size of our team. We look forward to keep things active in 2023, but we also need to be able to do things if some of us, like me, are not around for a month, for example. Let's see if we can do that. Thank you for the guys that accepted the role, for the guys that considered the role but couldn't commit to it and also for the players that volunteered for the role even if they didn't get it. You are all appreciated, and some occasional help and inputs are always welcome for sure.

PS: As for RadiumRC, we are not really removing him from the role for now, so if he shows up we'll talk to him to see how things would be about that.​

 

Denied. It's a great idea, but he is far beyond our level. Yeah, I know that with a few words Reborn could become the Kano Apps CEO and bring Char back, tell Eric to bring development again and save FRHD, but the Ghost Mod role is way below Reborn's level. We can't do this to him. Nothing to do with the fact that he beat me on Member Of The Year award.
