List Official Featured Ghosts

We reviewed some more ghosts and your ghost was one of them. We are working to finish the next part of the update, so when we do this you will have your feedback. We couldn't do the whole update at once, since there were (and are) so many ghosts, so we only did the part 1 of the update. Part 2 is in the works, though. I don't think I gave any feedback on recent ghosts here other than on some stolen features (since they don't require reviewing) and some other discussions here on the thread. Yeah, I know we are being slower than usual, but we are finally reaching a point where there aren't too many more ghosts left to review. Let's see how soon we can get the update out.

 

Epic ghost. This track had ghosts in the list even in the old thread if I'm not mistaken. I'm sure Noob's ghost was featured (and maybe notimus's and even Backtwice's, that isn't in the leaderboard anymore), so this track had a legendary competition with names like Backtwice, Noob, Sidewalk and Anonymmi (+ many others). Great job!

 

UPDATE PART 2:

Yeah, I know it has been 20 days since the UPDATE PART 1, but we are trying our best in a time that we are really busy. We reviewed 22 ghosts for the part 1, and now we did review 24 more ghosts for the part 2. We still need to review some ghosts (I think that there's 54 more ghosts in the works, most of them (around 40) are already almost decided), but right now let's announce what we have:

Fast Ghosts:
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/742586-race-5/r/boostbutt - Dope ghost, but it has some spots to improve for sure. Some of your climbs could be better. Also, it's on your own track and no one else completed it, so I feel like the lack of competition is another downside to it. Not bad, but not a feature.
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/676743-tetrations-challenge-51/r/boostbutt - One of the luckiest ghosts I have ever seen, lol. Yeah, props to you for beating tetrationiscool on his own track and getting first on a track that also had great ghosters like Anonyymi in the leaderboard, but this ghost is too short. Dope ghost, though.

Yeah, you did it better, but we feel like the end could be slightly cleaner. Also, the track is kinda smooth overall, so I guess it should be a really crazy ghost to make us consider a feature on this track. Great job, though. RubeGoldberger

Vehicle Ghosts:
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/742576-broken-scheme/r/boostbutt - To quote Eryp's review: "This looks wide enough for there to be a ton of different lines you could take. Feels like a Forza track or something. This route doesnt feel fast at all in my opinion". I feel like Eryp is right. This is a good ghost, but it doesn't seem that you chose the fastest possible route. It has some good parts but I guess it could be improved by a lot. Sadly, we don't have much competition from great helicopter ghosters as well, so it's hard to prove that you have a solid ghost here. So, for now, no feature.
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/731861-the-tunnels-3/r/charredlizard21 - I mean, you set yourself for failure here. There's another ghost you suggested on The Tunnels 2 (a shorter version of The Tunnels 3) where you finished the track with a 17.53 time. Here on The Tunnels 3, you did the part that corresponds to the whole The Tunnels 2 track in something close than 21.10 seconds. So we definitely can't feature this ghost, since you definitely can do better. Your review for The Tunnels 2 will come in the next part of the update.
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/654318-blob-trial/r/charredlizard21 - This ghost is epic but I'm afraid it's too short. To quote Eryp's review: "Really cool cut, but it's too short to be a feature for me. Dont think anyone will beat it, but it's just too short". I kinda agree. If it was long enough, it would be a feature for sure. But the minimum length for vehicle featured ghosts is 15 seconds, so a 6.83 seconds long ghost should be one of the best ghosts we have ever saw to be featured. This is really great, it was borderline for me, but we decide to not feature the ghost.

Trickghosts:
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/386633-longest-wheelie-comp/r/Arroww - Great ghost, it's for sure more impressive than your first suggestion with the wheelie made with slow motion. But, you kinda messed up in the end (and started "a bit late" to do the wheelie), so we don't think it's a feature. Yeah, you wheelied almost the whole track, but since we have ghosts on the list where the players actually wheelied the whole track (like from mR..A and TuttiFruity), we decided to not feature this ghost. https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/558402-mon/r/boostbutt - This is great. Both Eryp and I thought it was cool, but we feel like it's not enough yet. Might be your best trickghost suggestion, though. The flow is very good, you showed an excellent technique of reverse wheelie (something pretty rare, even in the featured trickghosts) and great controls in general, but it lacked a bit of variation of tricks. You could have made the ghost longer, maybe adding some more flips or even the truck vehicle in the mix, I don't know. But this is good, just step it up a bit and you might have a featured trickghost soon.

This ghost had a very creative path and showed decent controls and tricks, but it wasn't executed as well as it should. Small mistakes, missed opportunities, so we can't feature this. But I really believe that it's possible to get a featured trickghost with your path and ideas, but the execution had to be pretty much perfect, which was not the case.

It's cool and innovative (a helicopter trickghost), but we don't think it match the current standards, so no feature.

CHALLENGES:

RedOrBlue's ghost is beautiful and fast, but spruce got ahead of him for a while and did some parts faster, and Noob's ghost had a way better ending than spruce's or RedOrBlue's. RedOrBlue

To quote Eryp's review: "Looks like he could have gone faster, especially if you compare it to both Stevie.t and Anon's ghosts. clear mistake on one of the hills too". I feel like this makes sense, it's a good ghost, but it's not there yet. He could have had a better beginning and there's a few mistakes on some climbs, too. But since it's a good track to have some competition and it already has a nice leaderboard, we are putting this as a challenge, that might end up in actual features. tetrationiscool

In a recent track from RedOrBlue where both Anonyymi and RedOrBlue ghosted, it's interesting that we had a fight for first place that didn't involved any of them. This was a great battle mostly between Unknown-Rider, Ranger_X and BoostButt. Despite the cool aspects of it, we still think that some improvements are totally possible. We are pretty sure that sub 20 is possible, so we would like to challenge you guys on this track.

Since we recently reviewed all of the features from the old list and featured some of them and didn't feature others, here are the ones that were beaten over the years but we still didn't feature them, but that are in tracks have a great potential for featured ghosts:

https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/1015-antarctic-slopes/r/anonyymi - Iconic track from lolz666 with a great leaderboard that has Anonyymi, Backtwice and Sidewalk as the top 3. We have great ghosts here, but Anonyymi's ghost has a couple of clear mistakes and the track is kinda short, so I think we can have better ghosts here.
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/2891-silent-valley/r/anonyymi - Great track fro Honza47 with another great leaderboard. Anonyymi, Sidewalk and spruce is the top 3. Sidewalk gets ahead of Anonyymi a few times, so it's clear that the ghost is improvable.
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/81378-wooden-bucket/r/redorblue - Obvious mistakes, especially at the end, that almost made Cynic have the lead. Crazy how the ghost from YoYo124 was once featured and now is 15 seconds behind this ghost from RedOrBlue, that still has a few mistakes in the end. Curious to see what can be done here and if the 1 minute mark can be beaten.

Fast Ghosts:
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/544020-vivre/r/unknown-rider - Really dope ghost. Solid and fast, done in a kinda popular track with great competition, beating great ghosters like Chaos-Fallen and mR..A. Really solid work. 9th feature for Unknown-Rider. The Pro Ghoster medal is close.

Vehicle Ghosts:
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/724857-blob-trial/r/charredlizard21 - This one was a maybe for both of us at first. We thought that it was overall good enough, but since it was kinda short and the very end could have been slightly faster, we weren't 100% sure. But we ended up deciding to feature the ghost. Let's try to beat this one, guys. The blob ghosting community is starting to show up, let's see how far we can take this type of ghosting. 3rd feature for CHARREDLIZARD21
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/730968-speedrun-challenge/r/charredlizard21 - Kinda short, but really precise. Really fast and clean, with a good lead over the 2nd place. Nicely done. 4th feature for CHARREDLIZARD21.

PS: If your ghost isn't here, it's probably either really new or it ended up in the list where the ghosts that weren't neither clear features nor clearly bad ghosts. Most of them might not end up being features, but we are still discussing some stuff, and I think that we might have a few new features. Let's see.

PS2: We hope to have the part 3 out faster than we had the part 2 in relation to part 1.
