I like you more these days noob, and this is not personal, but ghosting is not a display of skill, but arguably at best a display of patience. I've always perceived it as an art of deception, in which you deceive unaware players and yourselves into thinking you actually did what the replay shows you. I passed it to mr..a because the thread seemed biased and a tool to further deceive players of your superior skill in deception, as you and bt had the most feats. I also did it to be a di*k. I honestly dont think ghosting should be premiered at all, and it has ruined this game forever.

 

I don't respect your opinion. It has, as always, zero worth, and you contribute with no clarification as to why you disagree. Not that there are any legitimate reasons to why ghosting should be premiered. It's always the cheaters defending it, and the motives are transparent as fu*k.

I agree that spacebarring is a bit deceptive, but only if you don't know they spacebar (like when I first started playing, I thought they were cheating lmao). Once you do, you realize it is a technique that makes difficult tricks much easier by effectively stretching time (hence the argument for patience rather than skill). Even though patience is a huge part of spacebarring, there are varying levels of skill within the spacebarring community . That is made very apparent by this very thread.
Another thing that proves the involvement of skill in spacebarring are the existing "TAS" ghosts. Some of them suck compared to others and somtimes are beat by some really good spacebarrers. This is because it is not real TAS and actually takes real input from the player, similar to spacebarring but with infinite checkpoints (kinda).
To adamantly claim that everyone is deceived by spacebarrers and they are dishonest cheaters just makes you look out of touch with the community. Yes, a lot of people don't like the existance of spacebarring. BUT there is also no unfair advantage because everyone is capable of learning the technique and spacebarring has pretty much been an accepted part of the game for years now.

lmfao yea you tilted me with that and im still a bit salty about it

there was no bias in the thread tho, we had higher standards for our own ghosts. hence why outs rarely, if ever got beaten. we also mare an unwritten rule to ourselves to not beat other players' ghosts, because at the time we could beat any that we anted.
