as some of you may know, about 2-3 months ago, i broke an arrow key on my laptop for the second time (due to all of my epic ghosting ). instead of paying for a replacement, i decided that maybe it was time i dialed back on ghosting and thus i have not spacebarred since, nor do i plan to pick back up on spacebarring anytime soon. however, i have been ghosting casually using the WASD keys from time to time, and i made this really awesome ghost that i am confident will get featured: https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/731302-new-track/r/zycerak (this part is a lighthearted opening to the upcoming speech) this post serves as a solemn closure for my ghosting career. hard to believe i got my first featured ghost 3 years ago . even harder to believe i was able to get 20 featured ghosts (all thanks to new the new "auto cut" section! lol ), just barely enough to claim a shiny and cool gold medal, and then lose 4 featured ghosts in the short months to come. since i am no longer able or willing to fight for my featured ghosts, they're all practically free for the taking (which someone has already taken advantage of. not naming any names but they know who they are ). in fact, i would quite like to see all of my featured ghosts get taken, because that signifies the growth of this community and the evolution of skill (this is the part where you start tearing up). i, zycerak of free rider hd, humbly retire from ghosting professionally on free rider hd (this is the part where i drive it home and you all cry)
me? cry? i would never! it's just raining... a lot... solely on my face... indoors... but it's not tears!
, I'm not sure if I can live with myself anymore. I got so close to beating your should be featured ghost though. http://frhd.co/t/731302-new-track/r/charredlizard21
http://frhd.co/t/290112-regenerate-rcc/r/madara thanks Kazman for suggesting this track. it was annoying and difficult to flawless this.
That's sad, but I get this feeling. You come a long way since the Stultus days, from bench on NFRL, to being the best ghoster that ever was in that team, haha. You really put on a challenge for some of the all-time best ghosters here, which is alone enough to put you in that category, the Legendary Ghosters realm, the Hall of Fame of this ghosting community. When I say I get the feeling, I really do. I started this game at 15 and now I am 22 years old. When my keyboard started to malfunction in the beginning of last year I probably could easily fix it in a couple of weeks, but I just didn't do it. There was a time where I was spenting to much time here and it wasn't very healthy for me. The time goes on and I didn't ghost as much since my keyboard was getting worse and worse, but I really enjoyed helping in the forums more, so I'm fine with it. When I really needed to ghost I would borrow a notebook from some of my family members. Now, I'm a bit more motivated to ghost and keyboard is starting to annoy me in general, so I might finally fix it, but it's always good to take some time. All things have to end somehow, or at least, change. If it's temporary like some of us did, or permanent, as some of us did as well, time will tell. But no matter what, you created a good legacy in the ghosting community and shall not be forgotten. Also, some of yours ghosts are really hard to beat, so it's very possible that you will forever be in this list. Sidewalk, Backtwice, Noob and many more "inactive legends" still are, so it's very possible to be the same thing for you. If it's the last time we heard from the Legendary Ghoster Zycerak, then farewell for the Auto Cuts King, you will be missed, but not forgotten. If it isn't, you are free to come back whenever you want. See ya, man! PS: What a legendary last ghost, haha.
