List Official Featured Ghosts

So many ghosts to update, but we are almost done with the first part (21 new suggestions and some ghosts we had put UR). Update probably tomorrow.

Also, major updates on the thread coming soon, and the first one is probably going to be announced tomorrow. So be ready for new informations soon.

First of all, sorry for taking too long for a new update but we were really busy last week. But here it is the first part of the update:

Before getting in the suggestions, we have an announcement.

We are happy to announce that to help crazywizard_13 and I, we recruited a new member for the Official Featured Ghosts Team:

Welcome to Eryp, the new member of the team and (soon enough) Races Forums moderator.

I'm kinda busy lately and so was crazywizard_13 this last week, so we figured out that it should be good to have one more person to help with the thread. So now, when 1 of us can't help, the thread will still have 2 different voices to help analyzing the suggestions, so the thread can continue to have good updates. Also, it's always nice to have another opinion to consider before deciding the features and we think that Eryp fits the job well.

We are already planning on some small changes, so we will discuss about them these following days/weeks, and maybe we can talk about then soon.

Now about the ghosts:

https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/82597-water-wires/r/sannin - Eryp suggested his own ghost on the track, but Sannin beat him. Sannin ghost could still be improved so no feature, despite the hard track and good ghost.
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/657021-helicopter-practice-8/r/sannin - Good time, but I'm sorry Sannin, this ghost is kinda boring, lol. Nothing interesting really happens, so we don't think it should be a feature.
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/277612-mountain-trial-2/r/sannin - Not bad ghost, but it could be improved in a few spots. Competition is good but look like there was most composed of old ghosts, so we believe it's not feature worthy. It has some strong parts, though.

There were some ghosts from Sannin under review, but they remain featured.

I think if you got one of those right one day you might get a feature. But this one is an "almost there" case for me. The other one that you did a long time ago was longer than this, so I don't think it's a feature. Still nice, though.
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/100595-uphill-grid-brush/r/tuttifruity - Sannin suggested his own ghost, but TuttiFruity beat him. Good ghost, may have potential but as it is right now, we can see a few spots to improve, so it's not consistent enough for a feature.

The cut at 31 seconds made you get the 1st place, but I think that overall it could be better, because the 2nd place did a really good ghost and if he did your trick the result would be a much faster ghost than both of your ghosts.

Look at your ghost as Eryp compared to your ghost as Minus and even a little bit of my ghost. You were behind for a long time. It was me and you many years ago, so I'm pretty sure this ghost can be improved.

https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/50285-oblivions-ft-foundations/r/eryp - Great ghost, but it has too many deaths. The track is hard, yes. But featured ghosts on tracks like that are hard to get, since it's hard to complete with a minimal amount of deaths.

It could be a cool thing in the future, if we had like actual featured ghosts showed in the game and stuff like that, but we decided to not make this actually happen this time. Sorry for anything, but among all people, mR..A should understand the problems it might create, so we aren't giving features solely for that reason for now. About the ghost itself, it was solid and the ending was superb, but it could be slightly better and smoothier, so it isn't a feature for now. But the ghost has potential.

https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/428676-world-wheelie-comp/r/zycerak - Great ghost. I wasn't very sure at the beginning, but it's something hard to replicate, fast and has cool tricks, so it's worthy. (FEATURED)

Congrats RedOrBlue, Zycerak and Sannin for the new features.

PS: Recently found out that Trickghost is RedOrBlue, so I'll put them in the same name tag on the main list.

 

No promises, but keep improving and maybe suggest it again, we never know. But with the low difficulty of the track, it's most unlikely that it will be featured. At least unless there's something crazy impressive.
