you're holding the brakes on too long
flat ground brake flip advice
- if you ride across a straight line and try to brake flip, generally you need to have accelerated for over 1.20 seconds to gain enough momentum to land properly
- before the flip, lean into it for a split second
- tap the brakes and let go of the lean for a split second to avoid tipping onto your head
- if you have done that part correctly you should get really good lift with both wheels vertically facing the sky
- at that moment, get back on the lean in the same direction you're travelling to bring you round ( letting go of the lean and then back on the lean happens in a split second )
- you will land on the front wheel unless you press Z to carry on accelerating in the direction you're going
- if you don't press Z, you can brake flip into an endo which is an advanced technique and always impressive
- to practice this try and find a track with a straight line leading to a step or stairs, accelerate towards the step and try to brake flip cleanly onto the step, good lift and clearance is essential
thx for the help ! I can do it now!
if anyone needs advice on multiple flips i can go into that too, hope this helps
