I think he means it's funny that some people consider the canvasrider days to be old, because they were new to the fr2 community when we played

There is a big difference in talent within the classic author's section.

 

agreed. Some Classics who were active from the really old days (armator ,3r4nd0n , etc.) are awesome track creators/bikers.
Then there is the group of "Classics" that might of played for like a month on CR (people like me!) or one of the FRs, then left, then decided that they wanted to see where Free Rider went. they are not that fabulous (granted, they are probable still better than your average "play-one-time-and-never-think-about-FRHD-again" people, but they still arent quite that good)

 

This does not mean that don't have the potential to become great authors. As long as they are active, their tracks will always get better and better.

I'm not even from the really old days, that would be more of Brandon's memory span than mine I was at the tail end of those creators.
The way that the classic author system is done is kinda funny now that you mention, with the "classics" and then the "newer group who draw pretty good tracks that look like they'd be a classic creator" if you get what I mean

 

Yeah, we're thinking of changing this title.

Not ones who say they are, where's your proof. Registered on one of the "Illegal" sites and are good. If they're on there and proven to be that old they should be.

 

I don't think this should be true. I played FR2 for about 2 years before I signed up for a forum. I don't even remember the username to that forum either, let alone the password.

I dont have "proof". I played CR at like the end of 2011 and in the middle of 2012 (I left for a while and then got back on). I never did the forums. So technically I dont have proof, but thats not the point. I classified myself in the 2nd group of classics
