As for Elite Author, earning it after 3 features seems fair to me. It gives a relatively stable sense of progression in this fashion; attain Official Author, attain 1 feature, attain 3 features and EA, then aim for VIP. One feature is too few for mR..A's proposed initial group of 20 EA's, whilst 3 would mean having exactly 20 EA's (not including those who are already VIP). A feature on its own is motivation enough for new players to attain, whilst EA is the next fairly-achievable goal to reach at 2 more features. Similarly, having it gated at this amount makes sure that the role doesnt suffer the same fate as what OA has done

And i really dont think "getting your first feature is much harder than any preceeding" applies very much by today's standards, which are significantly lower than what they used to be. It is easier now to get a feature than ever before, i really dont see how you could argue otherwise

 

it all depends on how Elite you want the rank to be. like it could be semi-elite or overly elite depending on the amount of Feats you might need to have in order to attain it. the common argument so far with the feats is the amount and how it might boost players to make better tracks or how it could make people give up and keep making garbage. i personally think it should be judged on a semi-elite scale. probably a maximum of 3 or 4 feats to get it by default, but maybe 1 or 2 feats at minimum so that the feats someone has are, instead of being judged by quantity, are judged by quality. so that someone can get EA if the have genuinely good tracks and become an Elite author in the actual sense of the word.

So true! Needs an update and don't ¨if you want something to be done, the easiest way is to do it yourself¨ just like if ur gonna say new year new stuff pls come soon! we are very excited for it! We love the game so much but think that it would be good for some new things.

 

I think something a little closer to gold would fit better than bronze, as Official Author is silver

We should make a new rank for every new year. That way, by 2030, we'll be giving out Super Mega Ultra Master Elite Author status to noobs.
