    G'day CityShep and welcome to frhd! I loved ur track and ur style, only thing is (That has been mentioned soooo many times) it was a bit sloppy. But it sounds like you have it down pat man, dont worry about ride-ability tho, i enjoyed the challenge :)

    Yeah honestly you're right. If you would've made it we may not have featured it but that's because you set a standard for yourself. If I see a new Stig track I expect certain things from it, and if you don't reach those expectations people won't be impressed that easily. It'll come off as lazy and we'll think stuff like 'he should've done better' or 'it looks rushed'. New people certainly will get their tracks featured more easily than people who've been playing this game for years and that's also because the featured track list is well, a list of tracks that we're featuring. We're showing these to the community as a 'you have to play this track'. It's also a way to showcase what newer authors can do and to give their tracks the attention they deserve. That being said I think that this is a fully realised tracks with great detail and layout and a challenging ride and that it deserves it's place on the list. We've also lowered the standard for featured tracks a bit because having 1 featured track a month is really not a lot and it gives people no reason to check the featured list. I think a track like this would've 100% be featured on canvas rider, but just because we have like 10 really really good authors who've been playing this game forever doesn't mean that newer people shouldn't get a chance.

    Also we will never get everyone 100% happy with this list but we're doing our best and I agree that our judging is not always as fair as we want it to be and we'll be trying to get this right. I certainly have some regrets featuring but especially not featuring tracks in the past because I think some would be right up to the standard we've set. (crane's contest track comes to mind)

    thats a satisfying answer.
    its totally fair to have different expectations by who the track maker is, and therefore having different standards to what should be featured. its the only way to do it.
    i was just curious to see whether anyone of you had the balls to say it.

    It's not just having the balls to say it, it's why should we justify ourselves to only you, when I'm sure it's more worth it to justify it to everyone.

    look at previous tracks compared to this - he has widely exceeded anything hes done before. he has a new style developing and made a good albeit short detailed track (using a thin line style).

    I didn't mean it in he way where I'm saying it's you specifically wanting to hear it, I'm meaning that everyone deserves to kinda hear it in the first place. Kinda takes away from our rights at times though, we don't spend 5 minutes on these decisions.

    you guys should go together and make a sticky thread on "how to get your track featured" or something.
    i think it could be useful, while it might also inspire people to put even more time into their tracks!

    I like this idea. Would be a tough thing to write since there are so many factors to it but it would certainly clear a lot up
