Meet Aussie, the English Golden Retriever. She is a trained service dog, specifically to aid people with seizures (aka me). I had childhood epilepsy over a 100 seizures, but none with her, luckily. As soon as we got her I didn't have any more I don't know how tall she is...

did you have the two hemishperes of your brains cut in half? just learned this is a treatment for seizures in science a few days ago

 

no, they just went away. It's typical that childhood epilepsy will simply go away after a while. They don't know exactly why, but it's fairly common. I had them for 7 years though. 5 to 12 yrs old. Also, they were caused by lack of sleep or excessive stress. Anyways, you can read up on it more if you're interested; just look up "4 paws for ability".
