GHOSTERS OF THE MONTH

1 - Reborn - Reborn finally did it! After having a great month, getting 2 featured ghosts, winning a tough ghosting battle against RubeGoldberger and keeping a good level of activity and consistency. We thought he deserved this win. Reborn is having a pretty decent second half of the year in the ghosting community, getting in the top 3 ghosters of the month for the 3rd time in a row (and also 3rd time overall). This is the first time he gets first place, though. Congrats, man! Keep it up!

2 - Cerasium - The young legend returns! After 9 months, Cerasium is back to the top 3 ghosters of the month! Since he got more active on his new alt cestoiolemsater he has been killing it! Really consistent and active, with some dope ghosts for sure, that earned him a spot here. He got a new feature on 100 jumps fixed and also had 3 great suggestions from last month. Good stuff. This is Cerasium's 11th appearance on the top 3 ghosters of the month (first one this year), which keeps him as the one with the most participations in the top 3. Good stuff, man! Keep it up!

3 - RadiumRC - This was a tough call for the team, haha. RadiumRC put Anonyymi in 3rd and Anonyymi put RadiumRC in 3rd, so my vote kind of sealed the deal. I think it's pretty close, since each one of them got 1 feature and 1 great suggestion, which some extra ghosts here and there. Anonyymi had another feature, but that was actually the ghost that RadiumRC beat to get his feature. We really thought it was close, but Anonyymi and I kind of agreed that the quality of RadiumRC's ghosts were slightly better, so RadiumRC is coming back to the top 3 ghosters of the month after being out of it since June. It's the 8th time RadiumRC gets in the top 3 and the 6th time this year. Good stuff, man. Keep it up!

All of the features and also Anonyymi's, RadiumRC's and Cerasium's suggestions could be the ghost of the month in my opinion, but we decided to go with this ghost from Reborn. We thought the routing and the heli parts were awesome and we also had a really cool battle here between him and RubeGoldberger (we had 3 new ghosts that were featured on this track last month), so this one was the chosen one. This is the second time Reborn manages to win this award, but it's the first time he got a "double win" (ghoster and ghost of the month awards in the same month). Congrats, man!

OCTOBER 2022 - Ghosting Awards Results

GHOSTERS OF THE MONTH

1 - Cerasium - So here we are again. This month we are reaching the 2 year anniversary for this thread. Not bad, I wasn't sure if we could keep doing this every month for 2 full years, but we are managing so far. Now, talking about last month, we had Cerasium coming back to his gold old days and securing a pretty solid month. 9 features kept and at least other 4 great suggestions, alongside many other ghosting battles, so he totally deserves the first place here once again. This is the 5th time Cerasium wins the Ghoster Of The Month award, which makes him the all-time winner in this category, tied with RadiumRC. It's fair to point out that although Reborn won in September on the Team's picks, Cerasium got the win by the public votes by 1 vote, so he became the all-time biggest winner in that category, with 6 wins. Congrats, man! It's also the 12th time that Cerasium finishes in the top 3 in the Ghoster of the Month Award, which is another record. Congrats on all of those! Keep it up!

2 - RadiumRC - In second place we have the ghoster that is probably the name of the year so far and once again had a solid month. 2 great features (one of them was legendary) and at least 3 other great suggestions, so it's a very deserving 2nd place for RadiumRC. It's the 9th time RadiumRC finishes among the top 3 Ghosters of the Month, the 7th time this year. Good stuff, man! Keep it up!

3 - Egway - It was tough deciding the 3rd place, we ended up deciding between him and Sidewalk. We picked Egway because he had 2 great features in 2 different categories, showing some pretty cool ghosts and great diversity. This is the 4th time Egway finished among the top 3 Ghosters of the Month, all of them being this year. Keep it up, man! You are having a good year in ghosting.

GHOST OF THE MONTH:

So many epic ghosters in the leaderboard: Noob, Sidewalk, Unghosted, Anonyymi, Cerulean, Cerasium... and RadiumRC is almost 2 seconds ahead of the 2nd place, lol. Insane! Everyone in the team agreed that this should be the one, so this is the 6th time RadiumRC won this award, the one with the most wins in this category. It's also the 4th time he won this award this year, which sets a new record for the most Ghost of the Month awards in a year

NOVEMBER 2022 - Ghosting Awards Results

GHOSTERS OF THE MONTH

1 - Cerasium - It wasn't easy easy to decide the 1st place here. First of all, we kind of had a different team for last month's ghosting awards. I was involved of course, but we got Anonyymi and Eryp to help this time, with Chaos-Fallen also helping a little bit, especially with the Ghost Of The Month award. As for the Ghoster Of The Month award itself, we had many players doing good last month, but we had at least 4 players doing great last month. Those players were Cerasium, RadiumRC, Xenom and Anonyymi. We can't deny that whenever we have a big ghosting contest, that becomes the main thing for ghosting. The weight of the performances there always seem more relevant than everything else, and I don't think this time it was different with the Free Rider World Cup 6. Anonyymi went insane last month and had one of his best months ever in the game, but the top 3 ghosters of the FRWC6 were really solid in all aspects of the ghosting side of the community. The main doubt for the first place was between Cerasium and RadiumRC, though. Yeah. Cerasium won the FRWC6 and had an active month in other ghosting related things, but technically the last 2 rounds of the FRWC6 ended in Decemeber, and this is the ghosting awards for November, so we can't count the final round here. Without the final round, RadiumRC had a better combined time than Cerasium in the contest (254.83 against 256.47) and more overall wins in the rounds (4 against 1), so he had a slightly better performance in the contest in November, compared to Cerasium. But in some other stats, we could question the vote for Radium in first. Cerasium finished in the top 3 in all of the FRWC6 rounds and RadiumRC didn't in one of those. Cerasium ghosted the 3 rounds he wasn't supposed to play and still got 1st place in all 3 with dope ghosts, with 2 of those being in November. Also, Cerasium kept 2 new featured ghosts in November (he got more than that, but lost some), while Radium kept 1 new one. Cerasium had at least 2 other suggestions unrelated to the contest, with one of them being really solid, while Radium had none. So we felt like the performances in the contest were similar and Cerasium was considerably more active in everything else, with more features, good suggestions and ghosting battles, so we voted for Cerasium in first. With this win, Cerasium is reaching 6 first places in the Ghoster Of The Month awards (2 being in 2022, both in a row), passing RadiumRC and becoming solely the most awarded player in that category. He's also being nominated in the top 3 ghosters of the month for the 13th time (3 being in 2022), which is the new record for that as well. As I mentioned in the FRWC6 posts, Cerasium is the 1st player to get 3 major ghosting contest wins, the 1st to get 5 ghosting contest medals and 6 ghosting medals overall. What a legend! Keep it up!

2 - RadiumRC - With all of what we said in the Cerasium's part, RadiumRC still did enough to get a very deserving 2nd place last month. The guy got 1 feature, had 4 overall wins in the overall rounds, with all of them being great ghosts, and had some other dope ghosts in the contest as well, always finding some new interesting cuts and routes. A deserving 2nd place. This is the 10th time RadiumRC finshes among the top 3 ghosters of the month, and the 8th only this year. That's crazy! This is the 3rd time Radium finishes in 2nd place. He might have left the game, I'm not sure, but what a year Radium had in the ghosting community. Really solid. Hope to see him around eventually.

3 - Xenom - This was so tough, man. During our discussion for this, Anonyymi admitted that even though last month might have been his best month ever in the game, he thought that Xenom deserved this 3rd place. Anonyymi got 6 FEATURES last month, all of them being dope and iconic and had at least one great suggestion besides that. The thing is that Xenom also got 6 features and had an amazing perfomance in the contest, finishing in 3rd place. He also won 2 overall rounds (although one of them was in December and he wasn't 1st on the track), with at least one of those being a solid suggestion for a feature. Also, in November the only round Xenom wasn't in the top 3 was in the Qualifiers, where he placed 5th. In one occasion he got 1st place and in all others besides this one and the Qualifiers he finished in 3rd place, just behind RadiumRC and Cerasium. Then he proceeded to win the 3rd Place Match, so he was actually the 3rd best player in the contest pretty much the whole time. Besides that, he also got the same amount of features as Anonyymi did? Crazy! Well, even though some of Anonyymi's features are more iconic, and even though Xenom lost one of his features already in December because we took so long to do this, we can't not include Xenom in the top 3. The guy went insane last month, got the Recognized Ghoster medal, got 3rd in the FRWC6, so he deserves to be in this top 3. This is the first ghosting award ever for Xenom, so welcome to the club! Keep it up!

Shoutouts: Main one goes to Anonyymi, without any doubts. The guy got 6 features, many of them were iconic and previously held by some of the biggest FRHD legends ever, so he deserves a big shoutout here. It is what it is, though. Sometimes we had some months where the competition is too good and some great ghosters are left out of the top 3. Another one that deserves a big shoutout is Setsu. What a contest in the FRWC6! The guy got a very deserving 4th place there, with some top-notch ghosts. Keep it up, man! Reborn also did great with the 5th place, having some iconic wins over guys like Sidewalk and Uniior, that got respectively 7th and 6th in the contest, also deserving some shoutouts for sure. In Sidewalk's case, he also had a great suggestion last month and in Uniior's case he beat a good suggestion from last month, so maybe that could earn him something. Also, some small shoutouts to myself, to Coated_Badger and to MatthewMatthew58, that finished in the top 10 of the contest, some shoutouts to R1ley070 and lightninggod, that did way more in the contest than people thought they could, to Cerulean that got an iconic feature, a good suggestion and was decent in the earlier round of the contest, to FreeLander2 that had like at least 3 great suggestions in the thread, to HyperCube that got an iconic feature and played some FRWC6 tracks for fun, doing well on those, and a shoutout to ShamatoZ as well, that got a feature and had an amazing ghost in the FRWC6 Qualifiers that is a potential feature for sure. ShamatoZ also already started December incredibly strong, so maybe we already have a contender for the next monthly ghosting awards. Good stuff, guys. We also had Cork and CHARREDLIZARD21 having pretty decent performances in the contest, so lots of people doing well! We know that some of the players mentioned also had other decent ghosts over the course of last month and I'm sure there's other players doing well, but there were just too many this time. Nice stuff, though.

GHOST OF THE MONTH:

We had 4 people voting on this (me, Anonyymi, Chaos-Fallen and Eryp) and we had 3 different ghosts being picked. RadiumRC's ghost on Dubious, the track for the FRWC6 Semifinals by SilentFinger and robbieraysfan received Anonyymi's vote. Cerasium's ghost on The Wet Light, the track for the FRWC6 Losers Championship Semifinals received Eryp's vote. I put these two as potential ghosts that I wouldn't mind seeing as the Ghost Of The Month, but I decided to go with an iconic pick and went with Anonyymi's ghost on Egyptian Empire. Chaos-Fallen chose this one as well and since Eryp said that if it was needed that he changed his vote for a tiebraker that he would go with Egyptian Empire, we decided that this was the one. As for Anonyymi, it felt deserving having him going away with a ghosting award from last month. It's the 4th time Anonyymi gets the Ghost Of The Month award, which makes him pass Cerulean and tie with RedOrBlue for the 2nd with the most awards in that category, only behind RadiumRC now. It's also the 3rd Ghoster Of The Month award Anonyymi gets this year. Not bad, man!

DECEMBER 2022 - Ghosting Awards Results

GHOSTERS OF THE MONTH

1 - Cerasium - First of all, sorry for the delay, guys. We were busy with the holidays and some IRL stuff, I have been caught up with a lot of stuff on my new job sometimes, so we could only put this out now. And what a tough decision! Even though Cerasium won the Free Rider World Cup 6 in the early days of December, the contest was mostly in November, so the weight of it on the Ghosting Awards for last month shouldn't be THAT huge. And it wasn't. But Cerasium can be persistent sometimes, like we have seen before. I feel like getting close to the end of December the team was pretty sure that there was no way that anyone could take the 1st place from ShamatoZ that had one of the most legendary months in ghosting history. But as I mentioned, Cerasium can be persistent. EVEN IN THE HOLIDAYS the guy wouldn't stop suggesting ghosts and getting features, so we eventually realized that maybe we should consider giving the 1st place to him. It was really close, though. I have to say that we are still not 100% sure of the choice since it was a very close battle, but it's definitely fair to say that he did enough to deserve this. We already reviewed most of the suggestions for the Official Featured Ghosts thread, so we already know that he got 18 featured ghosts from ghosts made in December. Crazy stuff! Some really interesting ghosts for sure. They were mostly offroad ghosts, but they were very fast paced and clean, so he deserves the features. Also, we can't forget the crazy ghost he did against RadiumRC in the FRWC6 finals, that had a techincal track for it. He also had like 8 other cool suggestions from December, so it was hard to not vote for him. Even though ShamatoZ's ghosts were better, he got 5 more features than ShamatoZ last month, had a more active ghosting month, joined lots of cool ghosting battles and even got the win in the final FRWC6 track, which made him win the whole thing. He also ghosted the 3rd place match and got the best time there, so he had a crazy month. For the 7th time, Cerasium wins the 1st place in the Ghoster Of The Month award. It's also his 14th time in the top 3, with both of those marks being all-time records. You also managed to get your third 1st place in 2022, tying with RadiumRC for the most wins last year in the Ghoster Of The Year category. It was your 4th time in the top 3 last year, with puts you in third place in that regard, tied with Sidewalk and Egway. Congrats, man! You really worked a lot for this one, so you are getting the win for the third month in a row. What a way to end your ghosting year. It didn't start that strong, but it ended with 3 Ghoster Of The Month wins, the FRWC6 win and many features.

2 - ShamatoZ - Well, it was so close. But it's still a very remarkable month in the ghosting community for you ShamatoZ. You got 13 features and probably 5 of the best ghosts this game has ever seen! It was unbeliavable! You got many auto cut features, getting really close to reach RadiumRC's numbers on that category, but it was with the super technical trial features that you really were able to shine! You beat Cerulean's crazy ghost on MTB Heaven, managed to get some impressive bomb skips on Unforgiving and Unforgiving 5, managed to secure a cut on Unforgiving 4 that most people would only consider attempting with TAS and beat the ghost voted by the Ghosting Awards team last year as the Best Ghost Of 2021! You beat tetrationiscool on Hard A$$-Trial! CRAZY STUFF! Really impressive. Close to the end of the month you got more inactive and Cerasium stepped up and started making suggestion after suggestion and getting feature after feature, so the 1st place slipped through your fingers here. But it was still a remarkable, month! Congrats! It's your 3rd time in the top 3 ghosters of the month, with all of them being last year. It's your first time in 2nd place. Good stuff!

3 - Anonyymi - What a solid year from Anonyymi! No better way to end it than with a top 3 ghosters of the month performance. The guy joined some ghosting battles, got 5 features and was pretty solid last month, especially in the first half. Also, the quality of the ghosts was crazy as usual. He beat Cerasium's former featured ghost in the Other Category that used the bike switch glitch with the intended bike, lol. Cerasium used MTB and Anonyymi was able to surpass both of Cerasium's featured ghosts there using the BMX. Crazy stuff! He also made a crazy ghost on Oriental Expedition. So props to him for that. Anonyymi had a great year in the ghosting community. It's his 5th time among the top 3 ghosters of the month (of course, since we started making these awards), all of them happening last year. Crazy stuff! It's the second time he finishes in 3rd place. Solid month and solid year, man. Congrats!

Shoutouts: Main one goes to Cerulean, that got 2 features and had at least 1 cool suggestion and joined a few ghosting battles. Good stuff, man. Shoutout to RadiumRC as well that finished the FRWC6 in 2nd and also to Xenom, that made some good suggestions. Another reason to make a shoutout to Xenom is something that we rarely mention here. Xenom managed to beat Cerasium and RadiumRC in the Public Votes for Best Ghoster Of November 2022, that had the poll ending last month. He got 8 votes, against 7 for Cerasium and 3 for RadiumRC. Good stuff, man. That's a win for sure.

UPDATE 1: Due to the recent discovery of ShamatoZ cheating on several tracks, we are revoking their 2nd place here. Anonyymi will get the official 2nd place and Cerulean will get the official 3rd place.

Yeah, Cerasium had some great ghosts, like the one in the FRWC6 finals, Anonyymi had some great ghosts, like the ones in Oriental Expedition and in the Brush 3 track, but the main decision was about which ShamatoZ ghost we would pick, haha. And yeah, the ghosts on Unforgiving, Unforgiving 4, Unforgiving 5 and MTB Heaven were phenomenal, but we can't really vote for tetrationiscool's ghost on Hard-A$$ Trial as the Best Ghost Of 2021 and not vote for ShamatoZ's ghost that beat his ghost as the Best Ghost of December 2022. Additional "fun" facts:

- It's the 3rd time a player gets Ghost Of The Month for a feature on Hard-A$$ Trial. First it was Cerulean in March 2021, then tetrationiscool in September 2021 and now ShamatoZ in December 2022.
- Cerasium tied with himself and with Cerulean for the most Ghoster Of The Month wins in a row (by Team's picks), with his third win in a row on that category.
- In the last poll Xenom tied with a "record" from Cerulean in November 2020 for the lowest winning percentage in the community polls for the Ghoster Of The Month award (44,4%), lol. A win is a win, though. It was a tight poll. Also that poll for the November 2022 ghosting awards was the 3rd most voted of last year and the 4th most voted in the history of the Ghosting Awards, so that was cool.

1 - Cerasium - Let's kick-off the new year with some old news. Young Legend Cerasium just broke another record. The record for the most Ghoster Of The Month Wins (Team's Picks) in a row! This is his 4th consecutive one! THAT'S CRAZY. Last month it was a tough battle with ShamatoZ, but this time it was a clear and unquestionable win for Cerasium. It's his 8th win ever in this category and the 15th (!!!) participation among the top 3 ghosters of the month. Crazy stuff. Last month Cerasium got 8 features, was active, joined some ghosting battles, so he totally deserved this 1st place.

2 - Xenom - Second place wasn't hard to decide either. We got Young Legend In The Making Xenom securing a place in the top 3 after a great month. He had an active month, got 2 features and at least 2 other cool suggestions, so he got a well-deserved 2nd place here. This is the second time Xenom got in the top 3 ghosters of the month and it's his best result, first time getting 2nd place. Congrats, man! Really well-done!

3 - Setsu - We have a new freshman in the house, haha. This is the first time Setsu finishes among the top 3 ghosters of the month. Congrats, man! He did really good in November of last year in the FRWC6 and got close to a top 3, but this is his time to shine! After at least 2 great suggestions, we thought he deserved this 3rd place. It was a really close call between him and Rippedmagnet, with some other guys doing well, but we ended up voting for Setsu. Congrats again, man! As I mentioned it's his first time receiving a ghosting award. Nicely done! Keep it up!

Shoutouts: Main shoutout goes to Rippedmagnet, that had 2 great suggestions in the thread, but we were pretty sure that one of them was old, though. However, the other one was absolutely insane, so it was a close call. Another one that came close was Egway, that had at least 2 really cool ghosts from last month. Nicely done! Reborn and spruce also had one great suggestion each and I had some decent trickghosts as well. So shoutout to us, lol.

Last Poll Comments: I'll be doing this more often now. Some quick comments about the Public Votes for Ghoster Of The Month for the previous month (before the one for this award). So here goes nothing. After 27 polls, we finally had the first ever draw for 1st place in the Ghoster Of The Month award by public votes in the poll for December 2022. We had 10 votes total in the poll and people couldn't really decide about who deserved to win more: Cerasium or ShamatoZ. Both got 5 votes in the poll, so they are both taking a win for that award. Congrats, guys!
