Well guys, it's finally over! What a contest!! Sure it was a little bit of a bumpy ride, but hey, this is my first contest and I do intend to host/cohost more in the future, so things can only get better. Honestly this contest did much better than I anticipated lol, I sorta did expect a flop, but I guess people were up for joining a 4th edition of the historic Ghosting Battle Contest originally hosted by the GOAT Madara . Even with the occasional mistake with scoring, I was able to get everything fixed. But here we go with my last relavent post in this thread. (probably lol)
Let's talk about the rounds:
Round 1:
Cerasium won this round by only one frame, very close in front of me. It was a shorter track, so optimization was the key here.
Round 2: Yet another win from Cerasium obviously, this one by about 2 seconds. This track had quite a bit of backlash, as it was quite annoying to ghost, but Cerasium had no problem flattening the competition. People got used to it though, and actually voted against changing the track. Certainly not the best track in the contest, but the round went alright
Round 3: Another W from Cerasium ! This track was much better received than the previous two rounds, but Cerasium yet again dominated the track. Not a huge win, but a win all the same. A longer, less technical track than the first two.
Round 4: Again, Cerasium takes the win here! Another well decently well received track from CHARREDLIZARD21 , more of a middle length track, around 25-30 seconds. It wasn't super difficult, but as always, difficult to optimize.
Round 5: lol, Cerasium wins yet again! A massive W by spruce with the track as well. It was a bit on the longer side for this contest, despite only being about 40 seconds or so. But all in all a good round
Round 6: You guessed it, Cerasium wins yet another time. However, I managed to join him with a joint first place! Yet another fantastic track by the legend Coager.
Round 7: You guessed it, Cerasium wins again! This was the longest track in the contest, and the only one to involve any sort of vehicles in the track. Cerasium came out early with an insane cut, but since it used the vehicle checkpoint glitch, he reghosted for a ghost that would count for the contest. I came very close to beating him, if you watch my current ghost I was on pace for a 45 second ghost to beat Cerasium s 58 second ghost, but choked and got a 1:06 ghost instead.
Round 8: Cerasium won again, but this was his final W in this contest. He'd dominated the competition so absolutely that he didn't even have to ghost the last two rounds to win! This the shortest track in the contest, and was another very well made track again by Coager. There was a cut found that cut off around 4-5 seconds, but only 3 people used it.
Round 9: Cerasium finally vanished from the contest! OG spruce got the W in this round. This was a simple yet fun track made by XxFazed_CosmoxX , about 30 seconds long, cave style track. Overall good round
Final round: Again spruce took the win! This was a beautiful track made by yours truly and detailed by Elibloodthirst . The ride was a little bit janky, but overall not too badly received. Not the greatest end to a contest, but better authors kinda stopped responding loll.

So let's talk about the results:
First of all, MASSIVE shoutout to ghosting legend Cerasium for the undefeated 8 rounds. I'm not sure if you could've pulled off the perfect 10, but you didn't even try! After you had a guaranteed win, you just left the contest, lol. But your performance was incredible. Fun fact, this was actually the lowest amount of points for a Ghosting Battle Contest win. Most if not all of your ghosts for the rounds were feature worthy, and even though myself and RadiumRC surpassed you in features, you still hold the all time record and your legacy in contests and features will never be forgotten. Amazing job man. Another shoutout goes to the OG legend spruce . A legendary trackmaker and ghoster performed extremely well in this contest, without even ghosting round 8! Overall finishing in second place, he did very well. Carrying the OG legends fr. And then there's me. I did alright, not gonna talk too much about it, but I got a respectable third place, I feel like I could've done better, but it's alright. Another big thing in this contest was Sidewalk s performance. Although he joined very late, he managed to get 5th place overall! What a legendary comeback! Maybe next year he'll join earlier and grab a podium position. We'll see what happens. Another shoutout goes to an up and coming ghost, Duper ! He hit top 15 in his first ghosting contest! Definitely a solid performance and possibly enough to get you onto the top 100 list coming out this year.

This was the first ghosting contest i ever joined. A few tracks had some annoying ride parts, but overall this contest was great!

Thanks for hosting the contest Xenom. I know you put a lot of work in making sure everything ran smoothly and I think it went pretty well for the most part.

Quite content with my 9th place despite missing two rounds for being busy and also ending up 0.03 seconds out of a top 10 twice (Rd2 and 4). Didn't have as much time to ghost some rounds as I would have liked but made some decent ghosts I think. Good to see some emerging ghosters challenging for leaderboard positions in addition to the crazy Cerasium ghosts.

Tracks probably weren't as great from a ride point of view as previous years (just a few small annoying/inconsistent sections in most rounds including mine), but we had a lot of inexperienced trackmakers who still did a pretty solid job and should be happy with their creations. I also thought this year had a greater range of track types and challenged more aspects of ghosting skills compared to previous years with some unique rides and obstacles.

All in all I think the contest worked really well and was well received by everyone in the community. Congratulations to everyone who participated.
