As for measurements... Well, the only thing better about America's is that it's dumb there's nothing in between a centimeter and a meter when almost every single object you use throughout the day falls between a cm and a m.

Dates aren't all about how they sound. In speech or text, we sometimes change the order. No matter where we live, some days we could say November 6 or sometimes the 6th of November. Outside of preference, saying something like November 6 could be referencing a significant date, whereas the 6th of November could be discussing a past, present or future date. However, when using numbers, 99% of the world uses day/month/year as that is in order of size; it is 100% logical, month/day/year makes no sense. Hence why I use day/month on the timeline. I am not using words to highlight the dates nor speaking aloud; this is numbers on a document.

I did not just hear someone try to validate the imperial system . It is used by only a handful of countries, so it is inferior in every single way. Yes, the metric system is scientifically recognised and backed by the laws of the universe, but the way you explained the advantages of the imperial system makes no sense.

Fahrenheit came before Celsius, and Celsius made his scale to match the freezing and boiling points of water, and that relates more to people than what you said as a) most people in the world use Celsius and b) the scale is easier to understand. When it's below 0 degrees Celsius, it's cold (below the global average), and you should put layers on. 10 degrees is still cold but manageable. 50 degrees (half of the standard 0-100 Celsius scale) is what the highest temperatures reach worldwide. Double that is the boiling point of water, and minus 10 degrees 2 times (40 and 30 degrees) from 50 represents common top highs during spring and summer months. 100 degrees Fahrenheit is 37 degrees Celsius, and many countries around the world reach higher than that. I know you said Fahrenheit is like a scale rating, but that doesn't mean it's easier to understand, and also, most countries aren't reaching -17 degrees Celsius either. Celcius is correct based on the science and societal understanding.

Your second point imo is even worse, centimetres and metres to two decimal places is perfectly normal, why does the metric system need another value between the two? If we take the imperial system and don't include the metric system, there are 12 inches in a foot and 3 feet in a yard. This is similar to the metric system, where there are 10mm in 1cm and 100cm in 1m. The big differences here are a) metric is way more precise and easily convertible by the decimal place, and b) again, more people use it worldwide. Inches have to be defined in cm, whereas mm and cm do not, as they are universal. What do you do when you are measuring in less than inches? Do all Americans know how many centimetres are in an inch? Do Americans know what mm are?

I am sorry, but the imperial system is just terrible overall and should not be justified. I only find myself using the imperial when talking about height and yardages in certain sports, mainly golf. As an Australian, I use metric for everything else. I'm glad you didn't try justifying the imperial weight and volume system, as that's EVEN WORSE, don't get me started on that.

This is my opinion btw, you are entitled to yours, but I think most people can agree with what I said, as we use the metric and understand how good it is/better than imperial.

Also, I know the mods don't really care anymore, but don't spam threads with heaps of back-to-back messages next time, just something to keep in mind for the future.

It's pronounced 6th of November but you'd write it 6th November. Lol
