Please read all information!
As most of you know,
jroles attempted to host a "Free Rider Olympics" but unfortunately the contest lost traction due to lack of organisation. This time I plan to host a successful Free Rider Olympics, in spirit of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. I give full credit for the IDEA of this event to
jroles and anyone else involved in the forming of the previous games.
In this competition there will be 4 events. Racing, Tricks, Track-Making and Auto-Making. There will be a separate thread explaining each of the individual events, the dates in which they start/finish, and any other information regarding them. In this thread however, I will be organising the teams.
If you want to participate in the Free Rider Olympics, reply to this thread saying you're in, and state which event you would like to participate in. You can only participate in one of the four events, but this may change depending on the amount of players who join.
Once we have enough players for each event I will begin to put together teams. Each team will consist of 4 players, one player for each event. This may also change depending on the amount of players who join. Once a team has been created, the team must come up with a name and a representative from the team must tell me their team's name in this thread. Please no inappropriate or offensive names! This makes everything a bit more fair in terms of how many players there are per team as it would be very unbalanced if the teams were based off of countries.
I also need a few people who can help to make the tracks for the Racing and Tricks events. If you are interested in helping, just let me know in this thread. Note that if you are helping, you will not be allowed to compete in the Racing or Tricks events.
The prizes are still undecided, but are unlikely to be coins. I am thinking of posting another thread keeping track of each winning team from each of the Olympics as I plan to be hosting more than one!
Stay tuned for the events thread, but that will only be posted once we have enough players for the events to go forward.
I hope everyone will enjoy the Free Rider Olympics of 2016!
