Okay, I get your point.
But, while the ride is one of the most fun rides I’ve ever ridden in a while (it’s like a flowy trial, pretty cool), i feel like the detail lacks too much for a feat. I mean, if you compare it to other featured tracks it has nothing to do with them. Yes, we don’t reward consistency, we reward creativity, but I think that Logeton could have done a lot better on that track. Usually, when a new track is featured it’s always something that i don’t feel like i can’t recreate, something that blows my mind, but that track gives me the hope that one day I can get a feat too (if you know what I’m saying). When I first saw that track, it didn’t amaze me on any aspect, except the ride. When a track with
meh detail is featured, it is normally a huge track that has a long ride or a really creative one (which could be this case), and that is why, for example,
ae_Cave04,
ae_Cave03,
Labyrinthine, or
Adventure are featured. On those tracks, the fastest ghost of the four is a 4 minutes 5 seconds ghost on ae_Cave04, and on Labyrinthine is a
15 minute ghost. The detail on Labyrinthine could be done by a 3 year old, but the track itself is huge, the commitment to do a 15 minute ride must have been insane. And on Well, the fastest ghost is 2 minutes 34 seconds long.
I’m not here to complain about that track getting featured, which I absolutely approve (Logeton has been a guy that I’ve seen improve since i started and he deserves that ea like everyone else) but to make a point about why ride isn’t the most important thing we have to acknowledge, it is one of them but not the most important. For me (im not on the feat team, so you can omit what I'm about to say) a featured track is a track that has, either an astounding detail (malyshia) or an amazing ride with some decent detail (Skijumping). If your detail isn’t really astounding itself, go make a huge track and make it so it has a decent ride, but make sure it passes the 5 minute mark.
Thanks!
