Do you think this could be featured? Logeton said he would put it up for a vote, but I have no way of knowing if he did...
yeah so he did put it up for a vote, the week has passed so in his place ill share what was said. ill preface this by saying, in future, please do not suggest your own track for a feat. it is more than fine to ask VIPs, EAs for CC (and indeed id encourage this - we are all more than happy to lend a hand! i think ive given CC to a dozen people or more last year). but it is generally frowned upon to suggest your own track, and i have to say personally i dont like seeing it at all. i cant speak for other people, but the relative lack of engagement in the voting for this track speaks volumes as to why we dont want people suggesting their own tracks for a feat - it is often obvious said track is not at that level *yet*. tracks that are good enough will get noticed on their own merit, and will be put to a vote accordingly the vote was 0 yes 6 no, with Eli leaving a short quip and myself writing something a bit more substantial. youre very much on the right track! with some more work on refining your detail, youll be there in no time. keep up the good stuff, Supreme! is a great track and that right side is one of my personal favourite sections from the last year
Elite author is for people who have 3 or more featured tracks, VIP trackmaker is 10 or more featured tracks usually.
I know I'll be a VIP author someday...I just need the proper equipment and skills. Thanks to many great authors, I'm able to study their tracks to aid me on my way
That's the spirit man! I said this before, and I'll keep saying it, never would i have thought i would get a featured track, not even get close to EA, and now look at me, 4 feats i have. Its just a question of how much you want it, and what are you going to do to get it, not just here but anywhere in life. Also, just so that it doesnt happen to you what happened to me, find a purpose why you want to draw, outside of getting those titles, because me, my purpose was getting to EA, ever since i saw the title on forums, and now i dont have that drive or that passion anymore, hence why i retired. Find something that pushes you to draw outside those goals, while they're good short-term, long-term that's not the move. Also what volund said, don't be afraid to ask for help, or cc, we are more than happy and welcome to do it, and when you guys apply what we say, it shows. Good luck!
If you want something you have to grab it by the horns and just keep on at it. You're clearly in the right direction making fresh pieces, keep on honing your skills and in no time you'll be better than tplacella
Well said. I needed this advice a long time ago. Glad to see my thoughts displayed almost exactly how I would say it. If I were to add anything it would be to draw for the fun of creating something beautiful and enjoy the entire process. Motivation is the biggest killer of some of the best ideas, I think I'm talking for everyone here.
