hey guys... i need help/advice on whether or not i should detail the castle or just leave it blank... don't tell me how bad the rocks are, i will fix them later the code should be attached
In general, sloppy, but not bad. And for the castle, it doesn't look bad blank but would probably look better with brick detail
that is what i was thinking... the castle doesn't look bad blank but could possibly look better with brick detail.... btw which parts are the sloppy ones, i will try to fix them... and thanks for the feedback
I'd say just do one wall or half a wall, then post it here so you can get feedback. Also, in general, the whole track is a bit sloppy, you are getting a lot better though. Compare this http://www.freeriderhd.com/t/146427-nature-ride-full with http://www.freeriderhd.com/t/72539-california-redwoods see how much cleaner and less sloppy california redwoods looks? Not hating on armain or anything, just an example
i see the difference... i will try to tidy up the track, and thanks... i will try doing some brick detail as well
yeah, also, always use snap, even for curves. It's hard to do, but using the curve tool makes the curve look ugly. If you use snap the curve will be more smooth.
Curve Tool Not a completely useless tool. I'd say it is faster than using straight line but slower than brush at certain things. It can certainly snap better than brush. genericusername for idea. Example of a published track prior to curved line tool. Example of something made completely with curved line tool. Example of simple stuff you can make completely with curved line tool. http://blackhatrider.com/tracks/~4gsgei Example of the stuff you can make with the use of both straight line and curve tool. Curve line tool is good for saving you some time and finger clicks, which is nice.
