Drawing Thread

Can somebody help me draw trees, especially leaves, i have tried many times viewing lots of different tutorials and just can't get it right.

 

Are you trying to draw detailed leaves or are you having trouble with the outline of simple leaves?

 

Individual leaves generally look bad. Add a few, but just stick to a good outline instead.

 

Yep, not enough space and colours to individually give them their due. Plus it'd take forever tbh.

 

But I'm moving away from that, or at least I'm trying. It just takes up so many characters and so much time. And that's why I left deadwood leafless. I'm not good at leaving things blank, I consider myself a perfectionist in that regard.

But yeah no, i don't suggest drawing all the leafs.

I like silhouetting the leaves in my trees, with the occasional dark spot of leaves like this. Random individual leaves throughout looks good too if done well imo.

 

I like this but it looks more like a cartoon. Which isn't a bad thing mind you, just a different style.

alright kinda on topic but nasrani have you ever played boarderlands??? your style kinda reminds me of it, i wish i had your style so much lol
