I like this rock and want to use the style in a large track but when I try adding grass on top it just looks unnatural and just slapped on top. tips?

 

imo make the grass of uneven lengths, in patches
considering theres a rock like this, itd be cool if u drew more of these and connected them with vines

 

Ill give the grass another shot. also thats actually exactly what I was planning on doing with vines
