reading through all the stuff on this thread from 2014 made me realise how much of freerider i have missed and how insignificant my tracks and whatever i do on freerider is
It'd make sense if there was a trail of books, papers, etc. trailing behind. Not ahead of the bookcase.
Hi, I need help. Should I leave the tree empty or try to detail inside of it. Also, how do you make more natural looking roots? Any help appreciated
Both options work. The issue is the tree looks flat and blends in w/ the rest of your detail. Your scale is a bit small too. Suggest removing the bush behind the tree to let everything breath bc rn there is too much clutter. Also you cut the top of the tree short so it'll fit beneath the top of the rock, you should just let the tree poke out. Ex. The ride at the top will still work btw
Thank you yeah I thought my tree looked kinda squashed and the more triangular shaped foliage like you did makes sense. Also how long did it take you to draw that lol e; Did this because I wasn't able to clear the gap (you have to go over it backwards as well) but it looks so much better thank you!
Nice! Yeah I see, might not ride completely the same bc of different scale and stuff. And I'd say about 10mins
I'm working on a pretty big track atm and I really want it to be my best so I need some advice. How can get this to look less flat without adding a lot of unnecessary protrusions? The track is blocky by my choice but I don't want it to turn into a minecraft looking track. I'm not an artist outside of free rider at all so I don't really know how to improve this track except through trial and error. so some tips and advice would be appreciated to speed up the progress. tell me if you think it should be improved (or if I should just leave it as is) and how I should go about doing that if possible. I've posted other WIP pics of this track but this is the one I'm least happy with.
