Hey guys, so if i were to detail this, what would you recommend to do? Any tips and tricks to shading, style, grass, rocks, trees, bushes, clouds etc. would be very appreciated. p.s the sun is on the far right hand side of the map
It's kinda painful answering these questions because I don't know what kinda look/feel you have in mind Just draw texture on it that seems reasonable. You can get away with doing a lot of weird things or things that don't make sense, example: http://blackhatrider.com/tracks/~565udx Lot of the line placements here are really wack and the shaping doesn't make quite a lot of sense. Yet despite this you can still tell it is a rock shape/texture. Goes to show you don't really need to think too hard on the crack and rock placements. Since it's nature it can be random and that makes it easy. e;
So I've been trying to develop my own unique drawing style, because all the pros have their own way they draw trees, grass, rocks and other aspects of a nature track (I'm only going for a nature style, not anything like what shep used on r3 or any trial stuff). I think I have finally managed to find a specific way that I can draw trees (and grass and rocks), the bark, branch placement and other aspects of a pinetree, without accidentally copying someone. Of course I still draw the same type of tree as the other amazing track makers that I hope to be one of some day, just in a different way. If anyone could give me some feedback on if it looks too copied, or too much shade, or anything- - I'd be very grateful. Thanks for the help-and sorry this is a huge post lol.
Yep. I find it easier to draw on an iPad (no joke) but I can't save big tracks, so I'll just make really detailed tracks with a five second run time lol.
