Going back to the roots of this tread, trying to draw a waterfall. How can I improve. p.s. I may have found the secret to realistic detailing... Don't give a **** and just draw without erasing or holding back.
Can anybody give me tip on how I can better draw the ground so that it distinguishes between the clouds and ground better.
My suggestion on branches is use the lowest brush setting, kind of sketch it, and then erase the parts you don't want
I made some examples for different kind of branches: 1. 2. 3. You can also combine them: I hope it helps
This is a pretty nice start. I know you posted this a week ago so you probably already changed some stuff, but for the river I think the shape looks decent, it raps around the cliff nicely. If you want it to look like it's flowing more then draw lines in the middle of the river, not only on the edges of the river, but don't go overkill with it either. The way you drew you're trees is something I've seen a lot, but it doesn't make sense, leaves should be covering branches in front of the tree. If you saw those tree's from a different angle it would look like this just try to imagine it 3 dimensionally, but looks good so far
Maple COMPLEX ROCKS Start off with a simple shape and detail until fully detailed. As you can see I start adding cross shades and grass.
