Disscussing the possible upcoming Fill Tool

*gasp You are calling me new and inexperienced! JK. I just though it was a "good" idea. Look at my post right under the first one

 

I've had some interesting track ideas with drawing from the negative, but have never done it because it would take a ridiculous amount of time without a fill tool. I do like the idea, but of course the style of tracks will change as a result.

why do people vote that the fill tool is a bad idea? I mean if they make it you wouldn't have to use it

 

bad track creators might misuse it

 

It'll be spammed, overused, and before you know it there's gonna be tracks that you cant even load. I believe freerider2.org has this, and it's completely horrible.
I also think people should actually take the challenge and dedication with the line size now, instead of being lazy.

 

True, but their are exceptions e.g.

 

Let's say you have to ask the devs or an official author to use it.

 

Yea keeping it away from the general public and giving it only to people who aren't going to misuse it is a good idea.

 

Unless there could be a limit to how much surface area to be filled, it seems like it would get spammed. Fr2.org does have the color and larger line size tools, and track styles are very different. Sometimes it looks good having a lot of solid colors but a lot of times it doesn't. It looks more like someone drew it on MS paint than fr2.
